My latest

New Gods #2 Darkseid's 1st cover appearance. Trying to find a higher grade of this book, but seems very hard to find graded for some reason. I see plenty of #1's....just not many #2's..? To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.

New Pickups!

Traded some books with really nice guy... He actually had these two books listed on Ebay 2 days ago. I decided to contact him via email, he turned out to be a really cool guy, and we made some trades...2 for 2! ST 180 and Nova #1.   I was very happy to get these two, especially the Nova!   Oh yeah, they both will be reslabed! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. Speaking of Cockrum

Tenerb had me thinking...This would have to be, in my opinion, my favorite cover by the great Cockrum... Always thought this was the iconic Juggernaut.   Cockrum sure nailed it! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.

Defenders #28

Restored.. Looks good for restored 8.0.   I only paid $5.00 for this issue at WWC this past summer.   Thinking it was much higher than this..also with much speculation.       Still happy with it! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.

DC Presents #26

1st appearance of The New Teen Titans Raven, Cyborg and Starfire. Found this copy st my LCBS.   I had people offering to purchase it from me at WWC but I bought it to pretty much complete my New Teen Titans run. I'm not a huge DC person, but when it comes to George Perez, he's the man!   Was really expecting a 9.8..had a pretty good run with those, oh well! New Teen Titans #2 1st Deathstroke

I cherry picked this beauty out of 4 copies.. I really love George Perez artwork, especially when it comes to his Teen Titans run..his best work in my opinion!   And if you noticed it's also a news-stand copy, just adds to the coolness of this beautiful book! The Deadpool Craze!

I figured this would happen once they announced the Movie... What worries me is all this speculation that's causing these books to skyrocket out of control. I think it's just a little crazy!                               This causes inflation and it's just impossible to compete with those prices.I really worry about the future of comics...very worried!                               Love my collection and would never hope to part with! That Raccoon

Was able to snag another solid copy of Marvel Preview #7... Sold the last one I had, and totally regretted it!   Well I'm happy that I was able to find another nice copy of this crazy/cool book!   I'll be taking this book to WWC for pressing/grading.   So happy to have this book back in the collection! Guardians

Was hoping for more but... There were just too many issues with this particular book.   Who ever had this book, originally stored it loose and stacked. Had spine roll and plenty of exposure to the spine and some foxing/yellowing to the pages and back. But otherwise the cover has beautiful gloss and rich color. I'm happy with what I paid for this book, and just happy to have this awesome book in the collection!   Starlord is going to be big! To see old comments for this Journal ent

Avengers #181

1st Scott Lang Just purchased this book off eBay, looks very nice, actually much nicer than what the Seller described. I'll be taking this with me to WWCC this Aug. Looks very solid and great for a pressing! I have a feeling Ant-Man will become the next Ironman in the MCU. I have a hunch! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. Ant-Man

Bought this book loose at my local Con for $20.00. Thought it was a steal at that price. Friends were like "no way!"Today their more like "Yeas way!"Took this fine specimen to c2e2 for Bob Layton to sign. Was very nervous because I knew how beautiful this book was. Bob was very gentle indeed! I'll make sure to post this with my Sketch that will go along with this beauty very soon.P.S Thank You Bree!To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. Doctor Strange

Could not believe how dark and vibrant this cover was when I purchased it at c2e2. When taking it over to cgc they told it was possible for color touch based on the fact it has a very dark cover. Well, it came back a solid blue label..thank god! Love this book even more in the case. This would be a very hard book to part with, that's for sure! Nightwing

Never was a big DC fan... Grew up loving marvel while the older people bought DC. This was back in the early 80's. For me Marvel had the more Modern and Strange character that ultimately drew me in. But I'll say one thing, when it came to Miller's Dark night and Wolfman/Perez Teen Titans..just amazing stuff! I truly believe Titans was Perez's best work. I'd love how this book turned out..Just a stunner! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be adde

Gambit

Love this cover.. I really love how Gambits depicted on this cover, very mysterious and somewhat dark. Always thought he was one of the best modern age characters created. I also have the annual in a 9.8. Makes a nice little set! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.

Surprisingly Pleased

I finally got my C2E2 books back from CGC today, and was I presently surprised. All three books hit beautiful 9.8's. But the big one was my Captain Marvel #27. This book was just a huge surprise..based on the fact it has a tuff black cover and only three graded in the census that are 9.8. So here are the 3 submissions from c2e2.. Captain Marvel PGX

Not crazy about the PGX...But? These early Captains, I'm talking about 27 to 32 I believe will be key when it comes to the Avengers Cinematic Universe "once Thanos gets really involved!" These will be the core issues to his entry to the Avengers. this particular issue I just purchased off eBay last night. These Captain Marvel are getting tuff to find in high grade, especially for under a $100.00. Got this for $65.00 (2nd Appearance of Drax) was very happy winning this particular issue...j
