WalMart 3 Pack Gen 06 Est. Release 2020/04

Gen 06 Est. 04/2020 The Covid Sticker release:   So only post on message boards is in reference to Strange Academy on 08/01/2020 and it mentions seeing this a couple months ago. Because people were locked down and not going to Walmart.  There are 20 titles which this type of sticker and it looks like there may have been 2 waves.    The 1st wave which I was able to pick out the standard 8 titles all with release dates which would fix an April Model.    With this gen I do not have

Gen 01 Estimated Release Date 05/2017 Changing this from Gen 00 to Gen 01 due to info on which sticker came out 1st.  It appears the actual 00 Generation was the Spider-Man Captain America Dr. Strange blue sticker out in 10/2016 or possibly latter.  None of that Gen books were variants .  This release had 2 titles with WalMart Exclusive recoloring of a generally released cover.  There were 4 completely new covers which were never generally released.  There was Gwenpool which looks lik

WalMart 3 Packs Gen 14a

Walmart Gen 04 Symbiote Spider-Man #1

This pickup is a Symbiote Spider-Man #1 WalMart Variant.  This was the 1st print of the walmart exclusive with the UPC in the lower right corner.   I have been doing too much ebay shopping.  This one was a good price though just about face value + shipping.  Only 39 different seal packs left on my need list.  Also I am expecting in the next week or so the next Generation of books should start showing up if the release patter stays constant.

Walmart Gen 06 Strange Academy #1

I was able to score a Strange Academy #1 WalMart Variant.  This was the 1st print of the walmart exclusive with the red title.   I broke down and got it on ebay.  This one was a bit more pricey.  The title itself seems to be selling pretty well so it was no shock that the cost was up there.  This was the 1st one in good condition which I have seen within the past 6 months so I went for it.   Only 40 different seal packs left on my need list.

Walmart Gen 06b Champions #1

I was able to score a Champions #1 WalMart Variant.  It was still in real nice condition as well.  Sadly this was not in the wild, I broke down and got it on ebay.  Still 13.50 shipped seemed like a no brainier.  It was part of a 3 lot 3 pack set which is why the cost was so reasonable.  I am slowly closing in on all my known needed issues.  Only 41 different seal packs left.

Walmart Gen 04a Spider-Verse #1 1st Print

I was able to score a 1st print Spider-Verse #1 WalMart Variant with the Light blue and white logo today.  It was still in real nice condition as well.  Sadly this was not in the wild, I broke down and got it on ebay.  Still 13.50 shipped seemed like a no brainier.  It was part of a 3 lot 3 pack set which is why the cost was so reasonable.  These seem to go for 20+ without issue.

WalMart 3 Packs Gen 14

23-02-16 They are back again with a new sticker Spidy storm and iron man.  For those tracking this is Gen 14.  I don’t know why Storm looks so Glum.  Also I know this journal entery is very similar to my post on the WalMart thread.  I guess I am hopping that even if CGC pulls the thread down they would keep the journal.  But I guess that is the risk in producing content for a 3rd party site.    8 Different Titles   1x Black Panther: Unconquered Vol 2023 #1 Wal Mart Variant

WalMart 3 Pack Gen 07

I was able to pick up a Spider-Verse #1 WalMart 3 Pack with a Gen07 label this past week.  This puts me 1/2 way completed for Generation 07.  I was able to get a decent price on ebay for it.  Sadly I was unable to find it in the wild, or at a show.  Hopefully the info which is collected bellow will be helpful to anyone else who is trying to put these runs together.  On this batch I do not have any of the quantity which were released in each shipment to the stores.  If anyone has that info I woul

?Gen 06b 10/2020? WalMart Gen 06a Venom #25

I was able to score a 1st print Venom #25 WalMart Variant with the White logo today.  It was still in real nice condition as well.  I am not sure if I am missing the 8th title which was released or if they just shipped more books which already were using that sticker.  Either way I have been able to get one of each except for the ASM 45.  ?Gen 06a 07/2020? No good posts outlining a new wave but judging by the number of title which used this sticker my best guess is that they put out 3

Gen 13 11/20/2022 - Confirmed 8 Titles

Sunday was spent driving to Wal Marts and listening to the Bears loose on the Radio.  I was able to get my copies of what I am denoting as Gen 13 of these books.  They are still selling for 9.00 which is a good price for new books.  I have a copy to hold and a copy to open so I will also post what is inside when I have a chance, probably going to do 1 per day over the holiday.  I am a little bummed, this batch of Walmart Exclusives all have dropped the upc as part of their redesign.  How can the

Today was a good day.  Stopped @ a Walmart in South Bend IN ST# 02680.  I was able to find a Valkyrie: Jane Foster #1 Gen4 , Excalibur #1 Gen5, & Road to Empyre: The Kree / Skrull War #1 Gen6.  All for the standard 9.00 for the 3 packs!  At some point I will post a check list that I and others can use.   I don't know why I like grabbing these, I just like seeing comics in non comic book store settings.
