Comic Book Collector and Sculptor

Who did writer France Herron and artist Jack Kirby bring to life in October 1941?

My first journal post was three days ago and I've have been surprised by how much attention it has received. So in keeping with some of the replies, I thought I would share another side of myself.

In addition to to being a comic book collector on and off for over 45 years, I've been an artist my whole life and a sculptor for the past 25 years. My primary focus these days is the human bust rendered in clay, with works that range from realistic portrait likeness's to fantasy characters.

As this is the CGC Collectors Society I thought some of you would enjoy perhaps seeing one of the most recognizable Marvel Iconic Villains of all time!

I've attached a picture of my version of the "The RED SKULL".

He stands 19 inches high by almost 14 inches wide. He's fashioned after the likeness of Hugo Weaving as seen in "CAPTAIN AMERICA the FIRST AVENGER"

Johann Schmidt the RED SKULL first appeared in Captain America #7 (October, 1941).

For the last few years I've tried to alternate my sculpt's between what my wife would call real life and fantasy. Late last year a portrait of Pablo Picasso was completed.

Currently I'm working on a life sized bust of "The MAN of STEEL" as he looks skyward.

As he gets closer to completion I'll post an update & photo.
