That ufo theme in Tip Top 202 is a surprising departure. Very cool!

That was a nice grab the other day.  If I wasn't so deep into the warren stuff I was thinking about it.  Charlie Brown is still awesome all these years later.  I actually picked up and enjoyed the Charlie Brown goes to Scotland book last year.  Reminded me of the Bon Voyage Charlie Brown movie from when I was a kid!

Yes, thanks. Considering I sold the 8.0 Bethlehem copy, this is a step in the right diirection.

Those are great, thanks for scanning them. I recognise many of them as Peanuts Sunday strips. But I think the golf story might be original to the comics?

So does that issue contain the first Lucy pulling away the football gag? That reads like it is. I mean, I assume it’s a reprint of a strip, but I’d guess it’s the first deployment of that gag.

One of the reasons I started collecting raw copies was to document the comic book appearances and try to determine questions like this. I have a large number of the raw copies documented and dated so that I can try to understand. Working through this and sharing the great Peanuts here is fun.
