For people saying that writing fanfiction is a dead end:

When I was on Gotham I read a Gotham spec script by @sarilikefairy and was so impressed I recommended her for a job at Warner Bros which she got (bc she's awesome) and now she's working on Harley Quinn.

So, there's that.
