1. This is probably an appropriate cover for those of us that survived a relatively tough year and a bad economy.
2. I remember Kresges and Montgomery Wards. This Rudolph book is probably their most famous giveaway. bb
3. I need covers for Batman 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, 15, 20, 22, 33, 34, 35, 44, 45, 49, 52, 53, 54, 58, 60, 63, 63, 64, 67, 70, 73, 78, 80, 81, 83, 86, 88, 94, 97,106, 114, 118 Detective 53, 59, 84, 107 Action 115 Captain Marvel 20 and 33 All Star 1, 6, 15 and 25 [font:Arial Black] Worlds Finest 2, 3, 5, 6, 14 USA 14 Need coverless copy of Marvel Mystery 36 Need a cover for Captain America 13 (But I changed the scans below to add a little variety). I could also use the cover to Marvel Mystery 30 which had a similar theme. Need a Hangman 6 centerfold and covers for Hangman 2 and Jackpot 2, Top-Notch 11 and 12 Add Daredevil 27 and Boy 30 to the need covers group and Dynamic 9 and Flash 42, Firestone 1947, Batman 25 and 36 and Mystery in Space 2 to the need coverless copy group. I have two Blue Ribbon issues (13 and 17) that need a cover and one that needs a centerfold. Will trade a Batman 22 centerfold for a Batman 19 or 36 centerfold. I have a Batman 68 with no cover and the last ad page missing for trade. Also need a cover for Batman 19 but a good scan would do for now. [font:Arial Black]Made a few additions to the thread. There are several other threads about coverless comics, I know, but I am resisting change.
4. I've been visiting Mysta by Baker. I really think these are some great Baker art. I don't think the Baker family has the actual original art from this. The B/W photo in Alter Ego is from photostat of which the family has the entire issue. I can only imagine what the OA would go for. I do wish more people would come out and post the OA they have for Baker. I've heard that the Seven Seas 4 and 6 exist somewhere in someone's collection. And, can you imagine seeing some Phantom Lady OA? I think Acerno can give you a pretty good idea about the Phantom Lady OA.

6. I fixed the damaged spine with photoshop but I still like the cover. The cover is kind of funny cause the lead characters are flirting while they are surrounded by mayhem. bb
7. Perhaps there is some interest in Christmas stories on this thread. I don't have much to contribute to Robert E. Howard discussions. I like Conan stories but I am on a Batman and Duck binge lately. I liked this story from Batman 15. And love the Batsled.
8. I agree. Happy Birthday Elzie! Without you we wouldn't have had one of the strangest super guys that ever reluctantly saved a damsel in distress. Your creation became an even more famous star of cartoons, comics, movies and spinach cans after your death. bb
9. I don't have Eisner story scanned since it is too large for my scanner. If I get a new camera, I will start posting more full size and Tabloid size comic pages.
10. Don't have the Brick Bradford. I always wondered if it was really by Schomburg or just someone else was pretty good with an airbrush. Haven't been successful trying to buy a Human Torch 23. I do have a scan and I have a copy of the Metal Mobsters story from MM 30 but need a cover.
11. I like robot covers and robot stories. I blame the addiction on Robbie or Anne Francis or maybe Schomburg.
12. Mystery Comics is one of my favorite runs - all four covers give a little something different. One of the first complete runs I actually finished. I couldn't resist the robot cover. It matches the Silver Streak that I recently purchased. And it reminds me of the pulps that I collect.
13. This one is too large to scan. Eisner wrote a story with some Christmas Spirit, which was nice since he didn't celebrate the holiday.
14. Deer-Hulk Prototype! Jack Dulk? There are lots of good premiums from WT Grant. And I like those Ducks
15. This one had so much color touch that it isn't a Schomburg anymore, it is just a Burg. bb
16. Thanks to a fellow boardie I have a complete copy of the Mad Chemist story.
17. I always like this cover. It looks nice in the D box now.
18. I love those Christmas covers, especially Walt Kelly. But according to the date on the cover, Atlas put this one out for Christmas. Ho, Ho, Ho! bb
19. Just picked up this cover. It looks first string to me. Another wash cover. bb
20. Just another old scan but an early Christmas cover.
