  1. I thought the model may have been Linda Darnell (a blonde version). bb I've never heard of Linda Darnell but the way she is posing reminds me more of CL25 She played Lolita in "The Mark of Zorro" (1940).
  2. I thought the model may have been Linda Darnell (a blonde version). bb
  3. I have a Heroic 69 which also has some Frazetta stories. I didn't see them in issue 75 but I only have scans of that one.
  4. The Porky Pig issue by Barks is available but somehow I always lose when I bid on it. It is also a Big Little Book which I have found a few times but rejected due to condition. It must be really bad before I reject something. bb
  5. Tim was a super promoter of Superman and kids clothing. Love the redbacks. \bb
  6. I think I have a copy of that one but I never searched for Romance comics. I just took whatever I could find that looked like a Baker cover. I sold several before I started collecting seriously. I think the later Teenage Romance comics are suprisingly difficult to find. I had never seen most of those issues before your posting on this thread. The giant size issues always temp me but the price is a little high. bb I had to go back into the romance box and see if I really had a copy. Yep, it was there. I think I like 3, 10 and 14 a little more but still looking for those later issues.

  8. Thanks for the ID Jack. After I made the scan and posted it, I forgot what issue I had scanned. I think the Porky Pig scan was the back cover of Four Color 48 which was listed on ebay recently. I didn't win it, unfortunately, but I did save the scan. bb
  9. Porky liked to work in the lab. Doesn't everyone have a lab at home. But where are the safety glasses? CSI ducks on the job use their microscoope in the story from WDCS 61 I think.
  10. I thought she deserved to be in the group. I guess she is angry cause she can't cast a shadow.
  11. I wonder whether we have shown the entire run of Diary Secrets. This was on ebay last week I think. Unfortunately, I didn't buy it but I like the cover.
  12. That is a wonderful Richard Briefer cover. Most of the Silver Streak issues are on my want list but that one just moved up a notch or two. Love the "Torture Meter". They should put one of those in every cubicle so the boss will feel like he/her is doing his job. bb
  13. I think Christina Applegate is very talented. I saw her in Sweet Charity on Broadway and she gave an excellant performance. I have liked her in her other movies too. I am not sure why she endured the "Married with Children" show for so long but the whole cast seemed to suffer the same ego-bruising dialogue. bb
  14. Lucky Wings was drawn by Bob Webb according to the signature on the second splash. But some of the art looks like Kamen's. The girl in the top left hand corner has a Kamen face.
  15. This splash page is very similar to the cover to Atomic Comics #4 by Matt Baker. West Yes there is some similarity. Could the cover be by Kamen or Webb?
  16. Production quality seemed to decrease at the end of the Fox run. Still art by Kamen I think.
  17. I am not sure whether Sparky worked out very well. Does anyone know the story?
  18. Didn't this artist ink most of the Baker Romance stories?
  19. There are a lot of Flash stories with similar plots. Art by Stoner again in issue 40.
  20. Hollingsworth did short features in the later comics.
