  1. D'OH! I probably do have that set of disks -- Who's Who is on it? Must be nearly the final version. I had forgotten all about it. I remember looking at some scanned fanzines, so I must have the disks. (I wonder where they are.) Jack My copy has "Jerry's Files and Scans" written on it (copy 3 from 2006). It is one disk which contains Alter Ego 1-4, Capa Alpha 1-20, Comicollector 1-6, Panelologist, Who's Who database and a bunch of other stuff. It was a thrill for me to finally see the complete AE issues after 45 years. I enjoyed reading the old ads in Comicollector. And my name was mentioned in the Who's Who in comic fandom from 1964. page 27 bb

  4. Great Book Mike! Cool Background and a Black Cat app! Death Germs in a flask! I want some! That is a great cover for those of us that are microbiologically inclined. bb
  5. Love the robot stories. I should have a Rockem Sockem in my collection. Yep, next time I go out looking. bb
  6. I like this gorilla cover. I never intended to keep it but it has become a favorite. Do you have any Mary Marvel covers? Doesn't she deserve some attention. I like this giant robot cover. bb
  7. How did I miss your group shots before, yowza! amazing! Is one of those WW being attacked by clocks with faces?? That is right up my alley if so... Yup, clocks... I like Cats, BB OK, you are all invited to come over and help me pick these up now, I'll cook dinner;) A couple of my favorites from the "W" box. bb PS What time is dinner? Since you mention clocks... \ Dinner is at 7pm, but you HAVE to bring that clock book...this is bad, I'm looking at all the beautiful HG ones and I might have to start helping the economy again;) Actually, I'm happy with VG, but I'd LIKE to have some of the others;) None of my Wonder Woman books are high grade. BZ and JB have all of the high grade books. My books are from the flea market. Nice pages in the WW 46 but big spine roll that has been flattened (picture was trimmed with photoshop). bb

  9. Terrific batch of Wonder Woman books Sharon. I don't know if my living room is much bigger but if you want to try spreading out on my floor, you are welcome to try. My cats may walk on them a little but they are house broken. bb
  10. Ah, the joy of creation and cutting up your comics to make a new toy. That beaver dam looked pretty good Scrooge. I think I have that issue but didn't notice the figures on the back. This would be pretty useful if you had children in the cub scouts or girl scouts. I put the models on the shelf with my other toys. Someday I will buy another camera and take some pictures. There are a few more Fox creations that I haven't made yet. bb
  11. I posted this in another thread but I think it should be here too. Cross it off the list. bb Mickey Dolenz with Robert Lowery (Batman) and Noah Beery Jr. at the circus. Good idea but didn't seem as successful as Rin Tin Tin. The elephant was named "Bimbo" in the show. Mick was paid $300 per episode. Not a lot of money but better than delivering newspapers in the snow.
  12. Nice! I wouldn't mind seeing those Jumbos OK bb
  13. I did have 2 #4's, but sold one of them on the boards last year (I THink to skypinkblu, but I don't recall) It was me;) I have a 2, 4, 7 and 9, I'm sorry I sold my 5.... Are you selling 7 or 9??? bb
  14. It would be hard to pick between 7, 8 and 9 if they were offered. I wanted 7 but would love to have all three. I think these scans were previous posts that I downloaded or from Atlas Tales. bb
  15. Scans from superhero Comics in the G-L boxes. I skipped most of the J box because J stands for Jumbo and Jungle. Lots of books there but not a lot of Superheroes. bb
  16. Congrats!! Very cool book. If you ever sell, holla! been looking for a copy for years...nice grab. Congrats. I think this one has a little photoshop on the upper left hand cover but otherwise the cover is in pretty good shape. I picked my copy up at a flea market. The seller only had two war comics and they were hanging from a wire like the daily wash. And the staple was pulled out. bb
  17. now that is one rare book!!!! Larson copy followed by recreation Filchock did for me. As early Centaur and Ultem folks know, Filchock's art was ubiquitous during the late 1930s. This was the first cover he ever did. He produced this recreation at age 95 for me. Talk about history! A charming and nice guy. Jon That is great stuff. Filchock was more of a cartoonist than a comic book artist but he was part of the beginning of the Golden Age. Roy wrote a nice article about Filchock for Alter-Ego. bb Other artist like Jack Cole and Bill Ward did cartooning and comic book stories. Although I think Jack had a genius for writing comic book stories.
  18. This is another reference to comic books in a comic. The smart guy gets picked because they think he is dumb since he reads comics Isn't Ozzie trying to make it to first base on the cover? Perhaps I missed the point but Ozzie seems to have it covered. bb
  19. This Fighting American gets lost in the group shot. I don't see enough of these in the GA forum. bb
  20. The "F" box has a lot of Four Color Comics and a bunch of Fight and Fighting comics. That scan of FF 213 looks a little better than the original. Maybe it is from someone else. bb
  21. The same idea with a twist was used on the cover of WDC&S #39. Another example of the same idea. I like that Pogo cover. Santa in the swamp always gets a chuckle from me. I think there was an Albert as Santa story. Did I read that posted by someone? I also have some 15 cent pogo issues but not the same one as listed above. You would think that it was due to Canadian issues like you see for Classics but I thought I read somewhere that it was an experimental price increase. They tried to make the jump in the 60s too when everyone else went to 12 cents. It wasn't a bad idea since they usually didn't fill up with cheap ads like Marvel and DC. bb
  22. Great pulps BZ. It is a great week for staying inside if you are in the Northeast or Midwest. Or perhaps you would enjoy one of these ice cycles. Looks like a Harley with a suicide shifter. How safe is that and even worse for the guy being drug along. bb I am not sure where I found that scan.
  23. There are a lot of Detectives in the "D" box but not nearly enough to fill the whole box. There are some Dollman too but I still have room for "E" books and Feature books, which aren't superhero comics. bb OK those last two were marginal. At least Exciting still lists Black Terror on the cover.
