  1. Wow like a museum of great books. Only in my dreams.......
  2. I think this book should be graded a 7.0 I tried to follow the guidelines in The Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics, Sixth Edition. I quoted from the Guide for “FINE/VERY FINE 7.0” I thought this book was similar or even better than the book on page 166. Here is my analysis: Front cover: “Moderate reduction in reflectivity” allowed. Some reduction in reflectivity (white SILVER SURFER). Spine: “Slightest roll allowed.” Flat, no noticeable roll. Corners: “may be blunted or abraded.” Upper right and lower right slightly blunted. Creases: “minor creases allowed.” Minor creases are individually .125” to .25” and can total 3-5 defects (page 21 of Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics, Sixth Edition). (1) Lower Right Front Cover has a crease less than .25”. (2) Upper Right Front Cover has a crease less than .25”; (3) Upper Left Back Cover has crease less than .25”. Just trying to understand if I’m not seeing something.
  3. Let me know what you think of my Silver Surfer #9. Front left side has minor indentions; LRFC (lower right front cover) - corner crease (less than .25") with color break; ULBC corner crease (.25") with no color break; ULBC-abrasion; spine is flat. URFC-corner crease (less than .25") with color break.
  4. There is a jagged indention (I would not call it a crease) from the Silver Surfer's hip to his right hand. Trying to figure out what it is? Any ideas how it would have got there?
  5. Saw this in one of my Sub-mariner issues and wondered if it's considered a bindery defect? Does it affect grade? Anybody know what the bodybuilding secret was in the ad?
  6. 90 day avg for an 8.5 on GPA is $3,640. Latest sale was $3,180
  7. When you say curvature of the spine is it because the "MARVEL COMICS GROUP" printing at the bottom is crooked? It looks like it was bound that way. Would it be similar to a staple not being centered? I would think it'd be higher than a 7.0
  8. I should have taken the pictures during the day. I took pictures at an angle so flash would not distort pic. I'll get better pics after I walk the dog.
  9. Is that considered a spine split? So for a 5.0 up to 1/2" is OK?
  10. Daredevil #81, 1971, begins Daredevil and Black Widow team-up. Curious what you all would grade this.
  11. Mister Miracle #1, 1971. There is a slight rub (is that what's it's called) on back top left. Other than that I think it's pretty good.
  12. There is a tiny tear of the spine near the bottom. Nice color.
