  1. Oh my… when posting pics from my phone camera it turns upside down, sorry. soooo 2 years have past and thinking about, that I bought art for 100/page back then, compared to the 300-500 now…….
  2. I would ask for him to print a bluelines copy and have him ink that fully. that way he could send you both pieces!
  3. When I used clink I used to make a stack of 3 auctions, and then ship. with Cc I never asked, since they only have an auction every 3 months or so.
  4. HA doesn’t allow to hold stuff and make a pile from several auction to combine shipping???
  5. I got those emails. And I did buy 2 pages discounted with a third additional page that the seller discounted for bulksale. Even threw in the shipping overseas!
  6. Comiconart acts as rep and agent. maybe Comicarthouse as well. see https://www.comiconart.com/agency.asp , also there was an interview on caf youtube where Court talks to Bill about acting as agent for artists getting eeals with publishers.
  7. Comiconart acts as rep and agent. maybe Comicarthouse as well.
  8. I thought that was ComicConnect 😅
  9. Caf is working on it, Bill said on a Caf update recently . Should be ready before the next caflive, which is in May I think.
  10. I actually find their site easy to navigate. HA is more complicated to me, too many options/buttons/displays….
  11. Just put in your max bids and then go and do your stuff. Next day you see if you won something or not. That is how we Europeans do it. Put bids in before going to bed.
  12. Hey, I already asked and got the reply that this was ordered to be doubled by the management.
  13. I used to bid a lot on low end art at Clink untill the summer. I don’t anymore because they doubled overseas shipping from usd100 to usd200. I am not willing to pay that, since I know FedEx costs aprox usd80 from My ComicConnect wins. if they lost more overseas bidders because of the shipping costa, well results might be lower! About what Sean says about auction loss vs original rep sales peices, I agree. I see a lot of new art offered from modern artists on reps sites that imho are too high. For example, this year at clink I won a 1988 FF page by Pollard (no FF on the page) for a little more as usd300 and a 1979 Cap page by Sal (not in costume) for aprox usd450. and reps post new art where there are new modern similar talking head pages offered in the same price ranges. It just doesn’t make sense to me! another example, I like the art on an Image Comics book. Looked it up online and the rep listed pages in the usd300-400 (no action pages). Last year one page showed up on c-link and I won it for Usd155.
  14. I bought 2 pages from 2 sellers for the first time at caflive. Take into account timezones. I am in Europe, so I got response to my requests when I was already going to bed. So I replied when I woke up and the Us based sellers were in bed then. Also I didn’t have the time to go through all the art offered because of weekend commitments. maybe they could start the next event already om a friday and do 3 days. I find 2 days a bit short to have the art offered, it’s online afterall. Not like we have to be present all the time.
  15. Hi anyone else having that can’t see the notifications?
  16. If they were sold with a remarque on it, I might consider them. at this time I just stay away from them. who can guarantee they don’t just peint another copy if in need of cash?
  17. Filipe is great. I didn’t know him, and a dps caught my eye at auction and won it. I just wanted to see the art upclose to see how he did it with the inkwash and white paint.
  18. Me neither. i call them the monthly auction and the event auction
  19. I am from Europe, so the auctions end in the middle of the night. Before going to bed I put my bids in and in the morning I see what I have won. I actually like the straightforward Clink site. I find it more difficult to navigate the HA site. about the lack of tracking, here is what I do: I take pen and paper and click on the artists names which I like to see qhat is up for auction. And make a list. At the last day of auction I take my list and put my bids in.
  20. Because people might not be available at that time to bid live. Think about other timezones. i.e. last night closed the Comiclink auction. Here in Europe it started at 02.00h and went on till 05.30h. So I put my bids in before going to bed, and this morning I saw how much I was outbid.
  21. I bid once on my phone while sitting in a bar. Went higher as initially planned and won art I don’t think is worth what I paid for it. People say don’t drink and drive. Well, also don’t drink and bid live!
