  1. If 78 if the "axe" one, then I will agree. I thought I was going to like 85 until I saw it in person. I wasn't as wow'd as I thought I'd be. Even still it is the 2nd best variant.
  2. Most of the variants are pretty lame too. I hate this one.
  3. Michonne and issue 19 are overrated. If it wasn't for her, Tyrese would still be alive! But I still would have loved to have seen what the art to 19 would go for....
  4. I just saw this. Not sure if it was posted already... THREE new characters to the tv series: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00040934.html
  5. The bolded part better not happen. Could go the other way. Michonne kills Rick when she sees him as becoming like the governor. I could dig that. That's whose grave she is standing by on the cover to 86. Nah, that's just Morgan's.
  6. Seller told me "It is no longer available for Auction or any type of sale." I heard he was made an offer he couldn't refuse. I hope it was really high.
  7. Yeah he did. He got an "offer he couldn't refuse" and sold the cover off of ebay to avoid the fees. Hence the expression SillyPuss Just gat PAID! The cover is no longer listed or for sale. Perhaps in the future I will spice up my American Slang expressions with some identifying ebonic flava so they can be better understood by Caknuckleheads In any case i was more making fun of dudes Ebay moniker "SillyPuss" you silly puss! Did you find out what the offer was?
  8. Tony's had several interior pages sell close to 5 figures. For one of the top 3-4 covers from his run, I would not be shocked if it could go close to what a primo interior page sold for. I have no idea what it sold for. I just know what it's worth. +1. That is a 5 figure cover for sure.
  9. It was sold not too long ago by a dealer. I remember seeing the price and thinking it was expensive. I am sure the buyer has to have some kind of idea on the value. So, seanfingh, did you get it???
  10. Unfortunately, this might be the beginning of something TWD fans(in all media) might not be ready for. Eric Powell, I'm looking at you. I think the quality will suffer further rather than run late. I mean, geez. Goon completely fell off the map. I don't see that happening with TWD any time soon.
  11. I am sure most people will have to be reminded of that. And I don't smoke weed.
  12. Yeah, everyone was telling me that the Walking Dead weekly was supposed to be a good starting point for new readers who became interested because of the show. BulllShhh. It was a money grab. It would seem like people who want to catch up (because of the show) would be best suited to get the tpb's. Why wait a week between issues? It was just to bleed us dry. To me, that was the start of the end of TWD... I might have to write a letter to the editor.
  13. We can agree to disagree about Kirkman. I think he has changed. He probably has way less time to devote to the book and I think it shows. He sets up storylines and doesn't follow through. Remember the hunters? That ended kinda lamely. They were badass hunters and then they get killed off really easily. What about the horde of zombies? Yeah, they got killed off easily too. I dunno. It just feels like it is going through the motions now. Slow points aren't what I am talking about. I don't need zombies and killing in every issue. Just make it interesting. This issue is a perfect example. It was uninteresting. Don't take my word for it. Look at the Image forums. It hardly registered a blip on the radar. I have been complaining for like 3 years about this series. Yet, I stick with it. I am not sure how much longer that will continue for.
  14. I think he was wishing it could go on for 100's of issues. This is a money making machine now and I am sure he has no intention of letting it go. However, TWD is starting to lose some of its luster, IMO. I keep getting sucked in by shocking events but overall, the series is getting stale. Maybe he needs to bring in a co-writer... Me too. I don't think it would be a bad thing if he thought it would be over by now but it is still continuing. I would just want to see what he thought. Like I said, TWD makes a lot of money every month. It would be hard to give it up unless the tv series keeps growing. Then I think he drops TWD, passes it to another creator OR the series begins to slip even further.
  15. Why would Abe shoot the zombie? Now more are going to come!
  16. http://lockerz.com/s/101327949 and this: http://shelf-life.ew.com/2011/05/12/the-walking-dead-governor-kirkma/ I just clicked on the link for the #85 variant. Damn, that variant looks really F'N cool. I may have to actually pick up this variant. I hate hate HATE variants... But I am going to get this one. One of the best TWD covers I have seen in a while even thought the zombie boobs are a bit odd. I just emailed the artist to ask if the OA is available and he said it was done digitally.
  17. Wow. I might have been interested in the Carl page from 83 but that is about it. Personally, I have found the art to be getting progressively weaker. The only reason I buy TWD pages is for the story. There are almost no aesthetically pleasing pages since Charlie took over. IMO
