Speaking of Marvel Preview 12 I just upgraded my 9.2 copy to this one today. Looking for a 9.8 but this will have to do for now. Love this book. Great interior also!
-
Covers that have nothing to do with the interior story.

CGC books already graded, no. Not a steady income but certainly an income. Raw comic books yes.

Paid fast and very easy to deal with. Nice guy too!

I really thought it was a bad move on Disney mgmt to do day one streaming. Disney and theaters all loose in the end.

I've always been a bigger DC collector than Marvel. DC for the most part has had the better stories and artwork for the last 40 years. Crisis, is way better than Secret Wars, Kingdom Come is a vastly better story than Infinity Guantlet, Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, Teen Titans, Batman,.... the list goes on. I also like 70's DC horror. Which has the better artwork than Marvel Horror comics, and is far more challenging to collect. I used to work at a massive comic store. They had most every Marvel comic in bulk. (Aside from around pre 66) Where as DC was always much harder to track down in decent grade.

This seems to have reviews that should put it a least on par with WW. (Score wise) ( Although I thought WW was overrated) I don't expect it to do WW numbers. COVID, and same day HBO Max (which equals same day torrent) should take a nice sizable chunk out of the Box Office.

Its at 98% with 55 reviews. Sounds like DC has a well needed smash hit here.

Apple TV's TED LASSO starring Jason Sudeikis (2021)

So far so good season 2 doesn't loose a beat. Easily one of the very best 2 or 3 shows on TV.- 62 replies

I watched the first 3 episodes so far. I liked the fact that they mixed up the basic He-Man story. The original cartoon NEVER had a really decent story. It felt like they did something a bit like Transformers the Movie and a few others stories I can't mention. I liked the first episode. I liked Evil-Lynn, liked Beast Man. Animation was solid. I do want to see where this goes, and the main story is kind of compelling. HOWEVER, a big part of the series is Teela (and her annoying sidekicks) journey. But sadly these two characters are very unlikable. So I get some of the backlash. Some minor tweaks and this could of been a lot better. Minor nitpick, didn't like Orkos voice. Overall I still want to see where this goes. I suspect all will be back to somewhat normal by the end.

I think Black Widow made a big mistake releasing the movie for streaming so quickly. It greatly adds to the Five Finger discounts. I know two hardcore MCU friends of mine watched the movie for free instead of going to the movies because it was so easy to grab. I've never seen a movie so easy to free stream. But I wanted to enjoy it on the big screen with choice seats. Last couple movies I've seen, almost no one was there.

Agreed. Also felt like they were getting very close to some of the same themes in Winter Solider.

Apple TV's TED LASSO starring Jason Sudeikis (2021)
Rip replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
Finished this series. Amazing emotional show. I don't want say much more so I don't spoil it. But there isn't a bad episode in this series and the final 5-10 minutes hits you like a ton of bricks. A/A+ One of the very best shows on TV.- 62 replies

I thought overall Black Widow was one of the weaker MCU movies. Not terrible but problematic at time. I really liked the intro, fight sequences were solid and Red Guardian were good. The new Black Widow was OK. Things I didn't like was Black Window being taking way to much damage that would have killed a normal human 10 times over. The Taskmaster obvious twist reveal felt cheap and dumb, (at least they made her tough). The main villain was kind of dopy at times and quite often you just didn't feel like the characters were in any really danger when they should have been. Still I'm glad I watched it. C+ almost B-.

Apple TV's TED LASSO starring Jason Sudeikis (2021)
Rip replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
I've only got 2 episodes left and this show is at times dead serious and emotional as any drama out there. This show deserves all the record amount of nominations its getting and Jason Sudeikis should just be handed the Emmy now.- 62 replies

I'd still say Miller did some of the all time worst.

Apple TV's TED LASSO starring Jason Sudeikis (2021)

I'm going though this series now. Just finished episode 3. It grows on you. The show almost feels like the coach himself. Like normally I think a show like this wouldn't work or should work, but Jason Sudeikis is so likable. The series with its likable cast is great. It's like Chicken Soup for the soul that needs to be fed to as many people as possible.- 62 replies

How much does it cost for professional appraisal of collection?
Rip replied to jcjames's topic in Comics General
I did an appraisal of a collection that took all day around 3 or 4 years ago. Charged only $30 per hour in a hot large storage facility. Took me all day. From around 9 to 5. I should have charged more. The person used to own a comic store, store was run into the ground and picked over to the bone. 150-200 long boxes of garbage. Plus other junk. -
