  1. Or read them online for free. You know...I mean,.. for people who do that sort of thing.
  2. The latest episode (7) was another amazing action packed slug fest. Loved it! Lots to digest as well with the story. Robot is a really turning out to be interesting in his own right.
  3. Here's one more classic. And if anyone knows where the 9.8 copy is, I would love to see it!!
  4. Bought it slabbed. I have a nice raw one also but not sure if it would get much above 9.2.
  5. I haven't posted anything recently so I gotta add something new...
  6. Nice looking PS10. (That PS 13 is a tough one also, still need it) I was obsessed with finding a decent looking 9.4 or better copy for years to upgrade my raw 9.2. Took me a very long time. I passed up on a 9.4 and an off-centered 9.6 slabbed copy before finally getting my 9.6 copy. To this day I've only seen a very small handful of 9.4 or better copies. Truly tough.
  7. It's been 7 days now since the store stated they would be giving me a refund and still I have nothing. I'm getting a bit worried. I'm thinking Monday I'll reach out to my bank next.. From what I remember refunds do not take this long. But it might take longer because of the larger amount.
  8. Overall not as good as Wandavision. But still had some highlights. The Flag Smashers just aren't very good villains. But liked Sharon Carter, US Agent, and Baron Zero. Tales of Suspense 75 might have some more life.
  9. Omega Men 3 is way undervalued like a lot of DC books.
  10. I'm not too far away. A couple hours north. But A-1 is top pick for shops in the area.
  11. First Nightsisters. I've gotten a few of those before the spotlight.
  12. And I argued with them about the earth tectonic plates. It's a bunch a woo-woo. I've met him a couple times in person since but didn't want to pester him on it. He's still one of my favorite artists.
  13. This one really disappointed me. Spent $3800 for a nice midgrade slabbed JIM 85 last month. Clearly a great deal bought from a store website. Store owner said comic would be sent out in a day or two. Day or two passed, store owner said I think it's in storage. should be out shortly. Week one passed by. Store owner said he couldn't find it but says he knows he has it. Week two passes by. During Easter says he will have time to find book and send it out. Week three. Dealer says he can get another mid grade copy. Finally after numerous broken promises and 7+ phone calls and e-mails, I'm supposed to be getting a refund shortly. As a Mea Culpa store owner gave me a free mid grade slab worth around $75. Waiting on refund during week 4. In the meantime missed out on numerous other good deals while money has been tied up. Will likely never trust and buy from disorganized (or likely dishonest) seller again. Lost quite a bit of deals waiting for nothing. If don't get the refund soon, I'll likely mention the store owners name/business and take further actions. (In the future, if you are going to back out on a sale because of lost $$$, tell the buyer ASAP. It only makes it worse the longer you string him along and continually lie to him.)
  14. I've bought collections with rat poop and cat pee. Yuck. The most insane nasty story was the one where I went to Happy Valley in Northern CA to pick up a pulp collection. As soon as I get there this guy greets me and says he's selling his parents magazines. Tells me his parents died in a honey oil accident. Shows me the blown up trailer on the property. Looked like a huge bomb blew up right in the middle of it. Says he got out of prison recently and there is no water or electricity on the property. Has a stack of pulps and tells me there's more in the barn. It's dark in there so he says he will get a flashlight. While I'm looking in there I can hear outside screaming and yelling fighting over a flashlight. The person who greeted me earlier starts yelling at a woman he's fighting with, "I said you can stay here if you sleep with my brother." At this moment I can see transients have been sleeping in the barn. Sleeping bags, excrement, food wrappers. I saw some older magazines but, it simply wasn't worth it. As the fighting escalated I got in my car and got out of there, told him I would contact him later.
  15. A bit under underwhelming but its a teaser so its not going to show the full goods. So its a bit early, I'm sure I'll watch it.
  16. Totally. I still regularly buy discs. Way too much great stuff. The original Dawn of the Dead 1978 is another great example. Just watched this recently. https://us.zavvi.com/blu-ray/dawn-of-the-dead-4k-ultra-hd/12796995.html
  17. There is a 3rd version of Dawn of the Dead also. The zombie(?)/dazed woman nudity at the beginning was covered up with blood on the windshield. Some of the Euro DVD/blu ray's have it completely uncut. https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=1988 The recent Scream Factory release has it uncut as well. https://www.shoutfactory.com/product/dawn-of-the-dead-collector-s-edition?product_id=6374
  18. This series has been a lot of fun. It's been great going in completely cold. The only thing I vaguely knew was that it was ultra gory.
  19. So amazing thanks for sharing. Byrne's X-Men run is still one of the greatest Marvel runs of all time. Same with his FF run. Would love to see the X-Men project published someday.
  20. This show is f-ing amazing. How have I not seen (or read) this before. My sons and I just burned through 5 episodes. Episode 5 on Friday was wild.
  21. I watched The Vigil (2019) last night. Fantastic and creepy movie. One of the very best horror movies I've seen in a very long time. Not flashy, minimal to no CGI. Just a great slow burn.
  22. I was always been mixed on Kirby. I think FF may be his best stuff. I really enjoy when he draws his over the top giant machines. But I can't stand a lot of his early 70's and up artwork. I think he kept going at least 10+ years too long as he put out some of the worst artwork out there in the 70's and 80's. When you have guys like Neal Adams, George Perez, and Bernie Wrightson, Mike Kaluta, etc etc out there, its really hard to go back and look at a lot of Kirby.
