You can send it in under a mechanical error. After you complete the submission form, we will send you a prepaid shipping label. We will also pay the return shipping. Be sure to write ME on the box in several spots. Also, write the reason for the ME on the packing slip. (hologram covering custom label)

Hey guys Here is a statement from leadership regarding ME's: Mechanical Errors are prioritized by CGC and pulled from shipping as soon as they arrive. As a reminder, customers should write “ME” on the sides of their box to expediate this process. ME’s can cover a wide range of issues, and some take longer to process than others depending on the issue. When an ME order is opened, it’s logged into the system (along with the reason for the ME) and then transfers to a team that removes the comics from the holders. From there: Holder issues are transferred to encapsulation for reholdering, QC and shipping. Label issues are transferred to the research team who identifies and corrects any errors. Those orders are then transferred to encapsulation for reholdering, QC and shipping. Book issues are transferred to a team of graders who evaluates each comic in question. Once completed, they are transferred to encapsulation for reholdering, QC and shipping. Book issues that require CCS service are transferred to CCS, then back to the grading team for re-evaluation. Once completed they are transferred to encapsulation for reholder, QC and shipping. The time required to complete an ME order takes longer with each subsequent step, so turnaround times on ME’s may vary widely from order to order. CGC prioritizes each of these steps to insure that the orders are returned to the customer as fast as possible.

The signing will happen in December. I don't have an exact date.

CGCMike posted somewhere that they signing is supposed to occur in December. This is correct. Someone also posted that McFarlane said he would be in Florida in December. (I believe on Facebook) I'll check and see if we have an exact date.

I received this message from the team: CGC reviewed the book again. The grade is now a Qualified 1.0 with married cover and centerfold.

If that was the case, the blackouts would be much more epic. Actually, there is an update available. Unfortunately, it will most likely be a few more weeks before it is installed. MX is running behind with the "things to do" list. It's anyone's guess if this will fix the problems.

I posted this in 2 threads about 10 days ago: Regarding the hologram covering the custom label for the McFarlane SS books: CGC got on this immediately. We have requested new labels be printed and rushed. We are hoping to have labels within a week, although Thanksgiving may affect this. All in-house books that have not been sent out are being held for the new labels. If a customer already received a book with the hologram covering the label, the best course of action is to reach out to the Sig Team and they will happily send Mechanical Error instructions so this can be fixed. Signatureseries@cgccomics.com This issue is only happening on the McFarlane scroll label, the Spawn label is good to go.

We will be doing the Palmiotti and Conner signing right after the Todd McFarlane signing. So, I am guessing it will happen some time in December.

This book was returned to CCG to assess the grade assigned in 2020, and it’s confirmed the grade is correct. It appears that CBCS assumed the book contained 16 full wraps, when in fact the book has four tipped in pages in the front (16 pages) and 12 pages in the back. Also, the first 6 pages are not detached; only the centerfold is.

By the time I removed political posts, including links that are political and the posts where people quoted them, there won't be much left. There's some things that can't be discussed on the forum.

I do not want to see any more racial slurs posted, or anything that clearly offends a race/ethnic group. I have gone back far enough in this thread to see a pattern of that from one poster, who I have banned from this topic. If it continues, others will be banned from the topic, have 3 points added to their account or both.

I have been told that if books are received before the deadline, they will be signed.

@THE_BEYONDER You are going to have to send images and an explanation to submissions@cgccomics.com The team will decide if your book qualifies for a ME. If it does, they will give you instructions. Normally the original submitter has 2 weeks to send a book back to us but, we sometimes make exceptions to that rule.

I will send the images to customer service for you and find out.
