  1. My son and I saw this amazing film in theaters in 2009 and it is one of the those memories that will stick with me vividly because we were both in awe

by the experience. When I heard this remaster was coming out, I was very excited. You can't really see it in 3D anymore unless you have an older tv/glasses.

I figured there would be 5-10 people at the showing but was shocked to a 3/4 full, packed showing. Not only that, everyone was clapping during the end credits.

It looks like it did pretty well last week too, considering it was a re-release. I highly recommend going to see it if you originally missed it in theaters. 10/10!:golfclap:

That anybody thought this was going to be worth watching is an indictment of how poor judges of character so many people are. lol

It had utter garbage written all over it from the 1st second I saw the trailer.

Further, it just shows how disconnected media and their higher ups are from reality, that nobody would stop this heap from being pushed through, much like the Aztek was many years ago.

This is a great article on how the Aztek came to be, and even though they are entirely different industries, and it happened so many years ago, the parallels are astoundingly similar and worth discussing today.

How Bad Cars Happen: The Pontiac Aztek debacle

Bob Lutz on the dangers of totalitarian management.

The danger with the totalitarian management style is that people won't speak up when there's a problem. They'll get their heads cut off or the messenger gets shot.

Of course, when I saw it for the first time, at the Detroit auto show, I thought it was a joke.

If it's a steaming heap, it deserves to be torched.

    So, you watched it?

  3. The rotten tomato score went up 4 percent in the past few days. It's good to see some people actually wait until a series is over to review it.

Not counting the bot reviews, I wonder what the score would look like if they released all episodes at once. Many of the things people were crying about early on, were explained by the end.

Crystal bleeding was made canon after the prequels came out. 2016/2017?

Pretty awesome addition to the lore.

"Vader got his red lightsaber immediately after Revenge of the Sith, and he took Master Kirak Infi'la's green Kyber crystal. Afterwards, he poured all of his rage and emotions into the crystal and caused it to bleed."

  5. I'll binge watch the show, now that's it's complete but, overall, I'd give it a solid 7/10.

The duels were definitely the best part for me. The choreography was very well done.

I wasn't left feeling interested in what happens to the "twins" but another show focused on the Plagueis/Qimir connection would be welcomed.

Anyone know anything about whatever it was those witches were doing that made them turn into black smoke? I was particularly surprised that when Sol ignited his lightsaber that it still stabbed that witch whose body you couldn't even see. I guess when they're in that smoke form their human body actually does still exist, but you just can't see it?  (shrug)

These witches, as far as I know, are new to Star Wars. They are aware of the night sisters but it seems unclear how they are related yet.

That whole scene was done in slow motion, so I would assume he got her before she was completely phased outhm

From Disney+ with a reported budget of $180 million dollars / $22.5 million per episode the show is an awful waste of money.

Completely agree. Although it's enjoyable I can't imagine where all that money went to unless Keanu Reeves shows up in the finalelol

I just checked it out and compared the two streams. Both look good to me.

Does your D+ need an update? When I originally started the show in WebOS, I didn’t get the Dolby Vision badge, instead the HDR badge popped up and the picture didn’t look as great as it did on the AppleTV. After updating the app, Dolby Vision worked and the picture seemed better.

Thanks for checking! It goes in and out, so maybe it's a wifi issue. The Dolby bade is present the whole time.

Want to watch good television, go watch House of the Dragon, go watch Shogun, go watch the Bear, where the writing and acting  are so many leagues above the Acolyte it is not even funny.

I love all those shows and agree they are better than Acolyte, yet I still think it's very good:cheers:
