  1. Have you been paying attention to recent events regarding this particular issue? It seems maybe your post wasn't very accurate.
  2. It would appear my post here aged VERY well, like a fine wine. How about my suggestion now?
  3. Hello. First time attempted seller on here (though I have a perfect track record on Mercari under the same name - GreatThingsforCheap). You can find me here: https://www.mercari.com/u/740126286/. Because this is my first time here, I don't really know the process, so please be kind if I mess something up. Fair warning: I DO have dyslexia, so it's not a matter of laziness, it's a matter of really just not being able to find what I wish to. If there is a post stating how to do this, I would appreciate someone linking it. Thank you for your understanding. Price: $10 for both (reasonable offers accepted, unless that's not allowed here? I mostly deal in Marvel so don't know if what I'm asking for these is astronomical compared to what they are worth, I just checked out recent listings elsewhere and went from there.) Shipping: $6 (typically USPS, but if I sell more than 4 comics in the same bundle I'll usually go UPS as it's cheaper. I'll provide tracking, as well). Payment Method: PayPal or, preferably, Check (PM for info). I am really good about shipping either same day I receive and clear payment or next day. Cheaper comics are mailed sandwiched between two sturdy pieces of cardboard in a bubble mailer (never had problems with this), books more than 20 get shipped sandwiched between cardboard and in a12x10x4 box. Please see pictures of books for condition, I don't have the best of cameras but if you want more pictures I will do my best to provide what you ask for. These comics are in great shape, probably F-VF I would think. I'm not a pro grader though ;) If I missed something, please let me know. Thank you! Oh yeah, and first I'll take it gets it.
  4. Hello all, and thank you for the replies. I suppose I was a bit carried away when I used the word "rampant". I'm just a paranoid person. Though I have seen examples of people removing the label and replacing it with another one, without any evidence of it having been done that I could see. They posted videos of it, which is how I know. In any case, I still think it's a good idea to etch that information into the inner well for that added bit of security.
  5. Are the graders just not bothering to verify information?
  6. I watched some videos of someone opening '90s packages like these (they were Batman books, but still, same concept) and the front book always had some minor damage (imprint) from the window of the box. It seemed a pressing would fix that, but still, something to consider.
  7. Hello. I'm not sure if this is even the right place for this, but I was thinking about how rampant slab fraud is out there on eBay and the like, and thought there must be a better way to ensure this can't happen nearly as frequently as it does. So I came up with an idea... I'm not sure if it's been brought up before, or if it's even being implemented now, but what about etching in the CGC certification number onto the inner well in such a manner that it IS visible if you look for it (maybe the very bottom, or top), but so that it isn't obtrusive and glaring, such as HUGE and in the middle of the comic? Because it's unique to the graded book, people should not be able to easily duplicate this and just switch out the label on the top, because it would no longer match what's etched into the inner well. Also, maybe add a bit more information on the inner well... such as the grade and the book title, vol. and issue number. Just food for thought...
