  1. It’s actually a camera the size of a pill that I have to swallow, a little different than a routine endoscopy. I rely on eBay right now which is why I’m concerned about his potential revenge feedback because I hurt his feelings. This was supposed to be a fun joke, and I’m not having fun anymore. I guess I will cross that bridge with eBay and the screenshots if it has to come to it.
  2. I am having a camera endoscopy done tomorrow so it will have to wait until Wednesday. I’m kind of concerned he is going to leave an unjust negative review just to spite me. I have 100% positive feedback and don’t want that ruined by the fun-sucker that crashed our party.
  3. I’m sorry for letting him trigger me everyone! I still had fun and am happy to have met most of you. GrapeApe, I appreciate all your responses! Thank you for the idea to list this.
  4. Sorry about your daddy issues. I’ll ship it on Tuesday grandpa.
  5. The point is, I am a 25 year old grown woman and you are continually talking to me like I am a child. I wonder if you are married, if you are, I feel awful for your wife. Get over yourself. why are you projecting your daddy issues on me? My dad is amazing and would never treat me like that. I know at your prehistoric age you probably forget that women have autonomy nowadays. It’s okay grandpa.
  6. I know, but it was never about the money. It was for the meme
  7. I edited my post after looking at the shipping address. I’m kind of sad he won but it was fair.
  8. Randall won guys. I was excited to burn it but I guess I will ship it in a top loader. thank you all for playing along.
  9. Again, making a lot of assumptions about me. I didn’t ask for your unsolicited advice. I already have a dad, thanks. I assure you it will never have value to me, stop trying to tell me how to feel, thank you. You are seriously trying to convince me that this sketch that a 3 year old could draw will someone magically gain value to me personally one day. No. The value came from this thread and the joke. You took this entirely too seriously and are still continuing to patronize me. Please stop.
  10. I really don’t appreciate your patronizing tone over something that was supposed to be fun. No need to be rude to me because I am a 25 year old woman. You make a lot of assumptions about what I know about value and assume it’s very little because of my age. Thankfully I had a very intelligent father who has taught me so much. Again, even if this piece was worth $1,000, which it will NEVER be, I would still burn it and laugh while doing it. That’s how little it matters to me. I didn’t start this thread. I didn’t even have the eBay idea! You commented about it without even reading the description for the item. If you feel so strongly, bid on it. It has a little over an hour left. The novels you wrote to me and the assumptions you make about my maturity level were really not necessary.
  11. Because I am not concerned about value. It is only an option to have it burned, the winning bidder may not want it burned. I didn’t get this sketch, or any sketch for that matter, in hopes of them ever being valuable. I will be cutting out the official stamp and gluing it to the bag I mail the ashes in so you know it’s official Arthur Suydam merchandise. edit: Arthur is such a jerk that he probably wouldn’t even care if I burned it in front of him. He made his money lol.
  12. Yes, that is me! It actually belongs to my stepfather. It’s a 67, matching numbers but in desperate need of restoration. I drive a Ford Ranger but it’s not as aesthetically pleasing.
  13. Thank you for your kind words! I never expected to get all of this support. The suggestion to put it on eBay was awesome and I’ve enjoyed seeing the attention it’s getting. I am just happy that the “zombie” sketch could bring smiles to other people’s faces. Here is the link to the auction again for anyone that didn’t see it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/234419817372?mkevt=1&mkcid=16&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 Again, when I listed it on eBay for fun, I totally did not expect this response! You guys are awesome. Thank you for being so welcoming.
  14. I do have comics listed for sale. Maybe some art in the future.
  15. Also, as an added bonus, this auction will benefit the Hero Initiative, a great non-profit that helps people in the comic community! I wanted to donate 50% of the sale, but eBay would only allow me to donate 10% to them.
  16. I think those interactions had some value in that they taught me that even people you look up to can be jerks. I will always cherish those memories with my dad. It makes me laugh too! Even though I was shy, I always made it a point to tell the artists that I am “Tiffani with an I” when I asked for it to be personalized. If you notice the EBAS sketch I posted, Eric said it’s not spelled with a Y, it’s actually a heart over the i when I pointed out that he misspelled my name. I love that each sketch has a story.
  17. Now that I’m thinking about it… I do think it might’ve been a Sunday when he did this to me. His was the last sketch I got at that convention, and we always attended cons for all three days.
  18. Ahh, I see. That definitely sounds like Golden. I will always remember my first interaction with him… not fondly, either.
  19. I’m a little confused on what you’re saying about Michael Golden.
  20. Here are some others! Sorry for the bad quality, I don’t have a scanner. I don’t recall ever paying for any of these pictured.
  21. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerydetail.asp?gcat=36717 I have a few posted on my old Comic Art Fans account. Most notably the Frank Cho mentioned earlier. After he drew the cigar he looked at me and said, “oops, maybe I shouldn’t have drawn that.” This was at the same convention I got the Arthur “sketch” from.
  22. Hi, I am the daughter in question here. I was actually only 11 when I had this interaction with Arthur. I only got told “no” on one occasion. It was Michael Golden at the Dallas Comic Convention. I will never forget that interaction either. Although a few years later I did get Michael Golden to do a Bugs Bunny sketch for my younger brother. I was always very respectful to artists, and I was actually quite shy as a kid. My dad having me go get sketches on my own was what got me over that social anxiety. There was kind of a running joke that a lot of the artists went along with in my sketchbook about me needing to talk more. I’m glad my dad gave me the opportunity and freedom to meet all the amazing artists I did.
