  6. Nice book. Seeing Two Jungle 17’s back to back in this thread one may think they are common, but that is definitely not the case. Congrats to both owners 🙌🏻
  7. You all have great eye and good taste. Planet 41 is top ten for me. Cover has so much going on. Bad guy holding a scalpel/knife and has snakes for hair, a robot busting trough the far wall, Mysta not only strapped to a table but even several pins of her hair “nailed” down. All of this and bunch of colorful snakes busting out of a basket with nefarious intentions.
  8. All great discussion so far by all about this. Many different factors make Planet the most popular/valued of all the FH titles. Two items to add that haven’t been discussed so far is 1. We do have to admit we live in a cover driven comic world (not saying we all abide by this) and Planet has the most consistent style of cover that seems coveted by collectors. For example, I love me some cool FH Fight and Rangers. Early Fight covers is all about War/girl in distress/spy intrigue. Starting about 49, Fight becomes all about the jungle . Same for Rangers, early Rangers covers all about War/save the girl/spy stuff and then about 41 it goes Firehair and western. My point is Planet is 73 issues of consistent sci fi/ crazy aliens/ girl in distress/ new worlds exploration which in my opinion makes it more collectible as a run than others. 2.They did this genre sci fi better than any other publisher. Others did war, others did western just as good as Rangers/Fight but Planet is tops in this genre of all sci fi GA and that means more people like/collect therefore more value. Cheers ps. keep the discussion coming. Always fun to hear about colors, certain issue printing abnormalities, etc.
  9. That is a beautiful book. Whatever you paid it was worth it, you won’t regret it. 👍🏻
  10. I’ve wanted to do this for a long time as well. I have come close, but have not been able to own all at one time from any of the “Big 6” front cover reveals on the back cover of FH books. Congrats for owning them all. Sweet to see them all along side each other 🙌🏻
  11. Last week, I acquired a book off my sig line want list and this week I am the new owner of one of Edgar’s books. It’s been a good mail week 😊. This is my favorite cover from the Wings run with issue 88 being 1b. Love the colors, Lubbers did well on this one with details and composition.
  12. This book has been in my sig line want list for over a decade. I missed out on 2 during that time in auctions and in general had little luck locating. This is a nice white background copy with OW pages. Very happy to mark this off the want list 🙌🏻
  13. Stellar books by all, had a fun time seeing all the great books. I am like everyone else, favorites change daily so here are my favorites as of today by Title. My favorite Planet Favorite Jumbo Favorite Wings Favorite Jungle Favorite Non Fiction House
  14. I sold this exact book a couple years ago in order to fund the purchase of another book. I really loved the cover composition (arrow in neck, etc) and coloring of the Lost Valley copy. I missed owning it. I don't know about you, but I seem to miss quite a few that I have let go. I saw the Promise copy of Jungle 60 had similar coloring and went for it a few weeks ago in an HA auction. I bid strong and still got left in the dust as the Promise copy in 9.4 went for $6,600. As fate would have it, the Lost Valley popped up for sale and I am happy to say it is back with me........for now
  15. Cosmic Aeroplane My first of this pedigree to own 👍🏻 No scanner so took a pic outside.
  16. Early Jungles are a real joy to hold. Here is my newest Jungle. The first pic below is when I lost it early on in 2021 via auction. Not too long ago it came back up for sale and I purchased it. Here is the pic from the scan of that sale. The truth is somewhere in the middle when in hand, leaning more toward the second. Either way, it’s a super nice example. As most of you know, I don’t own a scanner. Funny how a simple scan can make a book look more vibrant. I enjoy the middle white background in this one as well as the undeniable Zolnerowich styling. I also like comic backs that sell stuff like toys and trinkets by sending off for them. (Back of early planets, ex Planet 8). This Jungle back is a close second as it’s the same back to Planet 13. Lots of color and fun action on the FH back.
  17. That is a great early Jungle. Super Bonus that you get to read it 🙌🏻
  18. First find of 2022, Double Cover FH 🙌🏻
  19. Here is my 29. I don’t own a scanner so I took it outside and took a pic on my IPhone earlier today. On 29, the red is limited to just a few areas and maybe that is why it pops on 29. Her shoes, her belt area, her hair, fire breath, weapon on aliens back, and 2 shirts of men bottom right.
  20. White pages are impressive, I am equally impressed by her red shoes 👍🏻 I love seeing this issue with much colour.
