  1. Same thing happened on my books. This is a shot of the surface and spine on an Ultimate Fallout 4 before I sent it to CGC and I think its apparent the condition of the spine in the slab is nowhere near what I sent in. Needless to say I won't be sending anything CGC's way anytime soon. I wish this were the only one that had issues. Had a ASM 361 come back with an absurd 9.0 due to a none existent crease on the back and a suspicious corner crease that showed up in CGC's possession (much like the spine on the UF4).
  2. Seems to be a growing number of collectors with the same issues. I know my issues didn't come from the presser because I'm the presser and I document condition before and after. I never heard back from CGC on my questions relating to these issues, which is not encouraging. They're either nefarious or negligent in their handling; neither is good for the hobby. BTW sorry to hear you've had a similar experience. Considering their price, handling, and wait times it will be difficult for me to justify using them anytime soon.
  3. I submitted directly. I also reached out to CGC several days ago regarding this issue and have yet to hear back from them, which is not encouraging. FWIW the owner of the LCS has also had a similar experience recently. He's obviously sending in a much larger volume than myself but that's still anecdotal evidence considering the overall volume CGC's handling. However, I will say the I have yet to experience these issues with the "Other" grading company.
  4. I just got a few books graded by CGC and I'm not entirely thrilled with the condition after slabbing. I press and clean every book before submission and take plenty of before and after photos so I know the condition I'm submitting. The books have significantly more 'dents/dings' than before and I'd assume this would impact the grade. It looks like CGC groped my books or handled them with their knuckles. I know a few of my friends at the LCS have had similar experiences recently and wondered if this is becoming a common issue here?
