  1. Amazing thread. Dude was clearly partial to his sailor-striped shirts.
  2. Wow. Can't wait to see what this one commands.
  3. Whoever decided to switch from strictly aviation to good girl on Wings covers is a hero.
  4. I noticed - starts on 6/20 right? Diary Secrets 30 & Amazing Ghost Stories 16 is catching my eye.
  5. This was my first Baker. It's a great feeling. Many thanks to @comicnoir and Baker fanatics of this thread helping spread knowledge along the way.
  6. I'd like to see a mass poll for Baker's best covers. Would be entertaining.
  7. Thanks! Very odd I thought. I've never seen a 2.0 look so remarkable. Grader notes: large piece out bottom of back cover light spine stress lines to cover light staining to cover moderate creasing to cover
  8. The series has some iconic covers that deserve adoration.
  9. Adventures Into the Unknown sold very cheap at the recent Heritage auction. Though they never seem to be in demand and I'm the only person who likes those covers.
  10. A very clean 2.0. High grade would've eclipsed $1K with ease. I'll gladly settle for this.
  11. Always liked this one. I have a 9.6 signed by Capullo. Love that crazy looking rifle Spawn is wielding.
  12. The heavy inking is what plagues Baker's Atlas/Quality covers. His style is barely identifiable due to this.
  13. Thanks for liking some of mine. #54 has classic Schomburg tropes. One of my favorites.
  14. Definitely have to pick your spots and be vigilant. I still haven't gotten anything high grade, but some are so scarce it's moot point.
  15. I posted it in here before. No idea how, I guess not many Baker fans came to bid that day.
  16. Been following that one. Absolute insanity. Probably close to $15K when all said and done. Seems like Bakers are back to skyrocketing - even low grade. No idea how I won my Diary Secrets 29 under $500.
  17. The gold hue in the Spawn logo matching the label is perfection.
  18. Recent ComicLink win. Classic shark attack cover. Wanted this for a long time.
  19. Interior splash from 86. I love Doom's jaded expression.
  20. Exactly my thoughts! There were more comics in the storage tub, but not much caught my eye. I saw a Spider-Man 2099 #1 and some Green Lanterns. Mostly newer books. I couldn't take much at the time. I'm going back to get a chair so I'll probably sift through them again and grab the ones I left.
  21. I'm not a Spidey collector, but these books fell into my lap for literally nothing. A relative is moving into a place with items left behind by the previous homeowner. She did not want them. I always read stories where someone stumbles onto forgotten comics in a basement (these were in a plastic storage tub in the attic), but the fact that I experienced it firsthand was pretty surreal.
