  1. Doctor Solar, Man of the Atom #6 (GOLD KEY) Pretty clean copy. Gonna send this one off to CGC. It has a little defect on the back cover bottom corner by the spine but I think it'll get a 9.2 still...hopefully 9.4 but we'll see.
  2. yea it's very clean front and back. no color breaking. Just this corner and a slight faint wear on the front logo. it looks better than 9.2s and 9.4s of same book...aside from this defect
  3. This is a silver age book I'm considering and this is the best pic I have...so far. The book looks like a 9.2-9.4 except the bottom right corner of the back of the book has this defect. I can't tell if it's a tear or just a bad crease. So the question is how much would this defect affect the grade? Been trying to get a better picture of that area but the seller hasn't responded yet.
  4. New addition. Now if I could only find a decent copy of 3 & 4 I'd be done with this run.
  5. Sending this off to CGC soon. A much harder to find .15c version in pretty high grade. There's only 1 on the census now and it's a 9.6. Not thinking it'll touch that but should be 9.0+.
  6. All raw books just received back from CGC. The Spektor 14 (with Doctor Solar on the cover) I've been searching forever for over a 9.0 and finally got it! Now I have 2 Spektor 14's at 8.0 I'm gonna sell. The Solar #31 was a shocker at 9.8 as it's the only one on the registry. (
  7. Not new to my collection but sent them out for reholders...so the labels are new. These were all much older slabs so had to redo them and get that shiny new label too.
  8. CGC's scanner doesn't capture the full image of Magazines but just got these back too! Heavy Metal featuring the first Alien Comic ever. It's part 1 of 2 that was later featured it's own book... and I have part 2 getting ready to go out to CGC too. Then I got National Lampoon 114 at a 9.6!!! This book features the short story Vacation 58 submitted to National Lampoon by John Hughes...that inspired all the Chevy Chase films. Of course John Hughes went on to make so many great movies I can't count before he passed away.
  9. In my never ending quest to find a NM version of the book I got another 8.0 matching the one I already have. I do have a NM candidate at CGC now being graded so crossing fingers. I'll be putting one of my 8.0's up for sale I guess.
  10. Key issue. John Hughes short story "Vacation" in this one. If indidnt already have this id be all over it.

  12. Was happy to upgrade this one today. In the last month I've upgraded from a 7.0 to an 8.0 and now a slight bump up to an 8.5. So I guess I'll be parting with my 8.0 soon. :P
  13. Just picked this Magnus #5 to match my 9.4 Don & Maggie, Magnus 6. I missed out on 3 & 4.
  14. Yea been waiting on new pics. Right side cut off
  15. What do you think on this one based on the front cover alone.
