  1. "High-Grade" "Like New" https://www.ebay.com/itm/256456533118?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=mIdHMPJkREe&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=p38OgH3lRSa&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  2. As they should be, because it's essentially a Qualified Grade. "This would be a 9.8... if it wasn't written on."
  3. There's also a slight rub along the top edge above the E in Marvel that is in the exact same spot on both books. To my eye they are absolutely the same book.
  4. Unfortuately, that would mean they would charge you a full grading fee instead of just a nominal reholdering fee. But I agree with you, it needs to be done, at least until they find a way to permanently stamp an identifier on the inner well.
  5. I just noticed that the seller in question has made their eBay feedback private. This just happened within the past hour. You can no longer see what that recent negative comment said.
  6. Are the bid restractions also from the (316) bidder? If so, that greatly increases the odds that there is shill bidding going on.
  7. That's just the name of his eBay store. You can name your eBay store something different than your eBay ID.
  8. As a seller, this is why I never send out second chance offers. It makes you look guilty of something even if you're not. I just relist the item if the winning bidder backs out. As far as this potential scam from the OP, how would a scammer know who to send this email to since bidder IDs are hidden?
  9. I love these! Someone put a lot of effort into them! I have this coverless Weird Science #12 that someone made a cover for. The original owner's name and address is stamped on the back.
  10. Me neither. After 4-5 years I would have been knocking on his door asking for my book(s) back.
  11. An obvious scammer. All of his listings seem to be gone now except for the railroad caboose.
  12. Here's a message I received through eBay yesterday. I suppose this happens occasionally, buyers trying to circumvent the system by offering to purchase items outside of eBay. It feels kind of skeezy, not to mention risky. Any kind of buyer/seller protection goes out the window. I'm trying to decide if it's block-worthy, or if I should just ignore it and move on. Thoughts? Also, can someone interpret the "Friday the thirteenth" part for me? p.s. The user has been on eBay for over 10 years and has a feedback rating in the hundreds.
