Here's a list of Underground related appearances for the 2009 San Diego Comic Con.
Kevin Eastman (did many mini's before TMNT)
Nicola Cuti (Moonchild)
Denis Kitchen (Kitchen Sink)
Sergio Aragones
Jack Katz (First Kingdom)
Lee Marrs (Pudge, Blimp Girl)
Jim Valentino
William Stout (did a few beautiful covers like Grossout and Weird Trips #2)
Scott Shaw (Gory Stories cover)
Ken Krueger (one of the founds or the SDCC)
List them if you know more...
Wish I could be there!

Yep, it's been announced on the Crumb website that he's done, map and all... Now he'll be catching with correspondence and traveling to the states. Can't wait for this...

Here's a few more F titles we haven't yet seen.

Nice selection of books OOcomics, looking forward to seeing more...

I read in a Bob Levin interview with Wilson that the first published image of the checkered demon was in Grist... He's supposed to have his arm around a biker or something like that...

Love Robert Armstrong... Hilarious

I saw a comic book yesterday at my LCS that may be considered the closest to a modern day version of an Underground Comix, called Jesus Christ In the Name of the Gun. Anyone check it out? Jesus kicking Nazi's and Hilter's and blowing people away, pretty offensive to Catholics, but I thought it looked good...
I recently read a comic book called "Freedom Collective," published by Rough-Cut Comics. It's a homage to Kirby and Lee with the exception that all the super-heroes are Russian communists... It's pretty funny and would have been pretty subversive if published in the 1960's. I haven't read Jesus Christ In the Name of the Gun but I'll try to check it out... That reminds me Happy Easter everyone!

Anybody got any Star Reach?
Here's a couple. The edit sort of ruins #3 but I think we all know what's under there...

Quick animated diversion!
That is sweet!

Well, received my first Feds N' Head (1st print) today, which I got on eBay and thought was a good deal. Seller stated the spine was partially split, but still attached, with all pages intact. Well, not so, panel has been cut out of the interior pages. So let's see how the return goes as he's stated in his listing I could get a refund if returned within 7 days.
Hope this situation resolves itself... I just hate when mess like this happens.
Looks to be a good article on Undergrounds in the December 1970 issue of Playboy, see some really do read it for the articles. Are there any illustrations? What's it about?

Another favorite...
I love Leslie Carbarga on #1 as well but this is the best cover in the series IMO... Tough to find too.

All Stars #2
One of my all time favorites...

Thanks for posting those interior shots Comicopolis, the story looks sweet.
I haven't picked up any new Corben in a while.
Here's a couple no one's posted yet...

Nice one. I'm missing a couple of those including #1, but have multiples of #5.
I think I'm missing several of them as well... Was 5 the last issue?
Congratulations on finishing up the Yellow Dogs BTW, that's a killer run... The tabloid issues are totally under appreciated.

Since this is the first underground thread in the magazine section I'm reluctant to post a Warren mag but it's one of my favorite Corbens...

Hi folks, stunning books in this thread!
While this one's not pristine, or incredibly rare, I thought it would still be fun to share.

This could be him
Hamelin fits 100 %
He probably registered this account with eBay.com, not with eBay Germany - for obvious reasons.....
Looks like very bad feedback. Is there someone who has brushed up on their Hogans Heros German who could translate?
Here's a couple of translations, first the original neg in German and then the English equivalent:
"Das Märchen von der verschollenen Postsendung kann ich nicht glauben,Herr U.!" = I can't believe the fairytale about the lost shipment Mr. U !
"Keine Ware !Meldet sich nicht !" Ebay"schmeißt den Betrügerischen Loser raus !" = No wares! No reply! Ebay throw the scamming loser out!
"ACHTUNG UTHE - der Betrüger, meldet sich nicht, frech und liefert auch nicht." = WARNING UTHE - the scammer, doesn't reply, rude and doesn't deliver."
Another person (ebay id uwejean) wrote:
HEFTE NICHT WIE ANGEGEBEN VOLLSTÄNDIG, SEITEN(TW. ZERSCHN), POSTER & AKs FEHLEN = Magazines not complete as advertised, pages partially cut-up, posters missing...
Blackwater0750 replied:
"Glatte Lüge,die Hefte auf Vollständigkeit geprüft,der Typ gehört ausgeschlossen." = Bold faced lie, magazines checked for completeness, this guy should be kicked out.
Uwejean's reply was:
"DIE BESAGTEN HEFTE KÖNNEN BEI MEINEM ANWALT IN HAMBURG BESICHTET WERDEN! CHEERS!" = The magazines in question can be viewed at my lawyers office in Hamburg! Cheers!
Most of the other negs by German customers are complaints about inaccurate descriptions, lack of communication, and failure to deliver.

(thumbs u Nice book, and very rare indeed. I think it's worth every penny you paid and then some, even with the pieces out.
