  1. Ya I purchased a 151 at the show as well in CGC 9.2. From what I can see, the 154 looks undergraded and the 151 might be accurate of a little over graded. I'm not a crack and resub guy because these like 99% of the books I buy are for my collection, but it was intresting to see the differentiation between the two books in the same grade (according to CGC at least) only 3 issues apart.
  2. Wow some great books. Promised someone I'd post my copy of SSWS 154. Picked this up at WonderCon 2006 - definitely the best copy on the floor. Thanks again to Brent at Quality Comix
  3. Props to Nikos for the OA Deathstroke page Diva for the Tomato Box DD's
  4. and impossible to slab And therefore possible to enjoy in their entirety
  5. I bought a lot of comics this week, I really have to stop doing that - but my favorite thing to come in the mail this week was definitely this splash from the 90's Deathstroke series (Issue #16, pg.1). He's my favorite childhood villian, being a Copper Kid - thanks to Nikos for the Splash and for the great packaging. Again as AK and some others have referenced, I bought this for the Image depicted, rather than the artist (Art Nichols).
  6. Sorry, getting the hang of things here. FYI - you can edit your initial post after uploading the attachment and put the url in there. This way you don't have to create two posts just to post the scan of the book. Oh and that's one of the nicest copies I've seen from a scan - awesome book
  7. Thats an INSANE piece Jusko is so awesome - love his Moon Knight cover too
  8. to Rocketeer for a sweet DD 85 - considering it was up his butt and a white cover, it looked pretty clean when I got it
  9. Nothing too fancy this week, still recovering from all the books I bought at WonderCon - here is a sweet copy of DD 85 however that I can scratch off my want list. Getting closer to finishing Daredevil 25 up. Hoping to be done sometime in the fall - then its a run at 20/25 first issues I don't have in HG. Can hear the wallet scream already. Thanks to Rocketeer for this one that came from somewhere high above the EastCoast.
  10. responses to Belit kicking the bucket? Dan has a letter printed in that issue. I have my own personal copy I'm hoping Dan will autograph someday. Could be a Signature Series book. Well post the lettercol, so we can rip ya a new one over what you wrote
  11. Hey I think we've had incarnations of this before, I did a search and couldn't find anything definitive though. Anyway I was browsing through some Miller DDs and reading the lettercols. Loved this one from DD 161 which is the first letters page reacting to some new kid named Frank Miller joining the book. I found it interesting that Daredevil was a Bi-Monthly at this time hard to imagine that now - plus the reaction to this Miller kid and his potential on the book. I seem to remember the Saga of the Swampy Letters pages being pretty cool after Moore took over, but my SOTST's are back in Canada. Anyway here's a scan of the lettercol. Hope others will post their favs for everyone to see too.
  12. Thanks! The foolish seller had it graded at 7.0 (as well as the 139) and I picked them up for $10 apiece. Wanna turn a profit? I'll give you $11 ea.
  13. Back cover is near perfect. Sweet book. What are you thinking 9.4/9.6? I didn't know it was a multipack book, maybe I'll be able to upgrade at some point if it turns out to be that plentiful. Do you know, were most of the early SSWS US issues in multipacks? Nah, like I mentioned previously, this book is most likely a 9.2. If the front cover was as nice as the back, we would be talking in the 9.6 or better range. I don't know if the others were in multipacks but this was an outer book along with 3 others. The other books were Witching Hour 9 (outer book), From Beyond the Unknown 5, and Showcase 91. The other books aren't as nice as the SSWS but all have nice white pages despite being stored in a crappy bag. The interesting part about this book is that it originally came from the "dentist", Dave Anderson. It was part of a large lot of multipacks that he "dumped". I had to buy this pack from the winner of the lot at a later date. I'll throw my slabbed 9.2 up later tonight and you can have a look - your raw copy looks as good, or slightly better, hard to tell about surface wer from the scan though.
  14. How tough do you figure those issues are? I found 9.0 copies of 139 and 140 once on eBay and snagged them for next to nothing. Haven't seen decent ones since. Thats a great Book
  15. Wow those look awesome thanks again Shin.
  16. Yes its a GREAT Cover - I can't believe I don't own a copy..... YET
