Personal Information

  1. I listened to the podcast today, great job and a lot of fun to listen to. Thanks for providing this and I look forward to future episodes. I really liked the discussion about the type of collector that moves into original art, I can relate.
  2. Subscribed on iTunes, looking forward to listening. Thanks! Sean
  3. I'll play along. Here's one I received from Westfield back in my college days, sent it in for the slab a couple years ago. It survived school and several moves in the AF quite well!
  4. I picked up the PS4 last week and I've been playing Resogun and Killzone (I stink at it). I received the Xbox One yesterday and I've been playing Forza and just checked out Dead Rising. It's going back in the box today though since it's the "boys" Christmas gift this year - me and my two sons. They are out of town so I was able to hook it up, do initial setup and make sure all is well so there will be happiness on Christmas and not complaining about a broken system. I've had really good luck with the verbal commands and am impressed by the product. I'm looking forward to the future on both. If anyone wants, feel free to send me a friend request on PSN or Xbox live, conveniently my gamertag is also Deucedriver. Enjoy!
  5. Also back from the submission, a Mile High purchased years ago from the Pacific Mint.
  6. I received a nice surprise in the latest submission. I know I bought this comic book about 20 years ago, I was still stationed outside of Phoenix. I didn't have much money to spend on comics at the time so I know this comic couldn't have been more than about $20. Anyway, another Cosmic Aeroplane book has been identified.
  7. I decided to finally use last year's Collector Society Coupon (nothing like waiting until the last minute) to send a few books I've been on the fence about getting the slab treatment. One I picked up a few years ago at HA, another a few months ago on E-bay.
  8. I agree, I can't bring myself to entomb them. Another favorite:
  9. I'll chime in with my copy. My wife bought this for my birthday the first year we were married (1992, Arizona) - off to a great start! It's too bad about the dust shadow on this copy, the rest of the book equals some of the nicest page quality I've seen on GA books.
  10. I haven't seen it on the thread yet, but in Empire of the Sun, the kid has a Wings comic.
  11. I can honestly say I've never even seen this book. I thought I'd seen most after spending countless hours on comics.org and on here etc. so thanks for posting it. The September 1941 cover date combined with the subject of the cover is very interesting. I know there are a few covers from that era that were ahead of their time for the U.S. entry into the war. There is a National Comic that is often shown with the same trait, but honestly, I had not seen this one either. When I opened the package I was taken back by how pristine this book was. It went from being a spur of the moment purchase to one the favorite comics in my collection.
