  1. I just have a a half dozen I don't think most are older type CGC slab. Mine are I guess mid range in price highest maybe 1400 lowest two or three hundred in value. Silver age Marvel.
  2. Hello and happy holidays to all. Not really a "newbie" at this point. Initially started out buying lower grade slabs and have gradually replaced quite a few with higher grades. Any tips for the best way to sell or trade the earlier ones for the best prices or trade value? I really haven't approached any dealers (I of course assume they want to make money) and I'm not in any rush at all to get rid of them, just getting insight from the people here for future reference. I definitely try to aim for highest grade in my budget at this point to avoid reselling altogether. I have a great Ebay score over 1300 positives and no negatives but I kind of hate selling on Ebay just always something to give you a headache on there and I think Ebay has more protections for buyers than sellers. I wish there was a resource to trade where it was FMV for FMV. (or is there) Cheers.
  3. It's not an old slab actually it was graded very recently. And yea there are definitely some defects that I like to avoid like foxing. Again to each his own but I will wait I just prefer notes. If it's not a big deal to others you do you.
  4. Was looking today to possibly buy a pricey (well pricey to me around 3 thousand dollars) silver age CGC comic but when I looked it up on the CGC site it had no grader notes. I knew it was common for higher grade books to not have notes but this was/is a 7.0. I asked about this subject on one of the FB GCG sites and got eaten alive in the comments. (so welcoming! 🤪) To each their own but I personally would not spend 3 grand on a 7.0 book without grader notes so the seller lost a sale. Really not asking for comments here but making a personal observation. Happy collecting.
  5. Well they should correct the label if it's legit. I would not buy it with the discrepancy. Just suss.
  6. I was interested in this eBay listing this and it has a lot of watchers. Sheldon Moldoff died in 2012 this listing says he signed in 2014. The confusing part is the good long term feedback. Could be an honest CGC mistake? I would not buy this with this discrepancy. Messaged the seller but no response. Item ends soon https://www.ebay.com/itm/303127581864?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ggWFMUgfRZK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=MTfgjVp4QmS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  7. This is a current eBay listing wondering if it's a fake signature. Moldoff died in 2012 and it says signed in 2014. The puzzling part if it's a scam is the good long term feedback. https://www.ebay.com/itm/303127581864?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ggWFMUgfRZK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=MTfgjVp4QmS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  8. I would probably wait until I could do it. It's not going anywhere but would be great to get it slabbed.
  9. Hi all, Pretty new to the site, apologize if the question is covered already. This is probably addressed on here somewhere but at any rate a bit busy working today. If I wanted to drop off a pretty collectible comic in person at CGC and stay a day or two and make it a mini vacation can CGC grade and return the book to me in person at the headquarters in order to avoid mailing risk? I do know I would have to upgrade my membership to elite or whatever it's called first. Appreciate the help. I actually have family not too far from Sarasota so that's something I'd be interested in. Otherwise I probably wouldn't risk mailing it in and wait for that option. Cheers, Rob
  10. Thanks! Just got a FF 9 for my second one. Not a Parsow and not signed. Not as nice but I hope to upgrade it eventually. FF 13 is in my targets next!
