Hi guys..very sorry for what happened. It's been an absolute nightmare lately and if it wasn't for the best damn girlfriend in the world i'd be lost!!!

I won't bore anyone with the story of why we;'ve been off the grid with not even access to a phone for over 8 days, but the story is absurd.

I am in the process of shipping stuff out today and emailing people.

I talked to Matt on the phone last night and he didn't even mention Yannis. We were talking about another tec coming up for auction. Sounds like he's moved on.

I don't understand how this whole thing is on the minds and agenda of boardies that this didn't even happen to.

 

No offense intended, Dan, but you were the one that brought this to everyone's attention in the first place. You started this conversation, but you or I or anyone else can no more control its direction than you can steer a train.

I started it for Matt..when Matt wanted it over with, I backed away and let it be over with. I didn't just randomly start this thread to cause a disruption..Matt wanted me to put it into words better than he could. Otherwise this is NOT my thread.

You're right about losing control of it...I will agree to that.

I started a thread to help a friend out and get answers.

If you guys wanna put him on the probation thread than by all means go for it. I just have more important things to worry about in life.

We can protect other members, I agree...

But most people don't even read the probation list nor will a newbie know to look there. So he'll still sell books.

My first Pre-code horror comic!!!! The addiction begins officially when I pick up this badboy on Friday from a boardie. I saw this on CKBs wall at the Boston con and between what Kingsley and I had already spent on comics that day, we couldn't get all the money together. I told him I would PM him after the con, and if it was still around, i'd take it. Lucky for me no one grabbed it.

I don't think Batman should have to give up the book nor do I think Matt would even accept.

Bat-man's name is Alex right? I'm sorry but I can no longer refer to him as Batman. Just because you're the first person to pick a user name on a message board, does not give you the right to be called Batman! I'm halfway joking....but seriously, it IS awkward calling him that every post.

Yannis...I don't know you, but that final post really didn't seem to apologetic. You didn't want this thread here because it hurt your rep and you had to do damage control..other than that, I really don't you ever cared that you pulled a book from someone that sold some of his comics and works overtime to pay for it. You don't care..never did....

Only reason you care now is because you got caught. You probably figured since Matt was a newer member that he wouldn't make a big stink.

Who knows what you were thinking. I'm not saying you don't have family issues but that's not enough for me. Business is business and it goes forward.

Just wanted to let everyone know I just bought a Detective comics #35. Really sweet copy. Matt,I hope you don't mind!!! I would of told you about it first, but the deal was just too sweet...

I know right...Why are people so quick to be like that over the internet and say things they wouldn't say in person? Imagine a meeting a boardie at a convention and having him say to your face, "by the way, I don't like how you handled that one thread online, so I'm not going to sell or buy from you..EVER."

Matt doesn't know his way around these boards but I'll direct him to the probation thread. The more I look at this, the more I think that it's deserved. If not for this kind of problem than what is the probation thread good for? So i'm starting to see that point.

On a side note; That 37 is long gone. I don't think Matt has any thought that he might actually have a chance to buy it. Probably one of the reasons Bat-man is hiding out now and waiting for the smoke to clear...he does not want to give up this book now that he has it and he's hoping this all goes away. All speculation of course

What resolution? This wasn't resolved! Matt's screwed out of the book and Yannis gave him a personal reason but didn't explain why he sold it from under him.

Probation list is a possibility, but why give Matt the 3rd degree because YOU need closure?

He's hiding in a bunker trying to wait out the skirmish. He should sell Matt his undercopy and make his day!

That's my understanding as well. Let me get out the magic 8-ball and see if I can extrapolite any other info on it...

I think we all want to know what Yannis reason was for lying to Matt about the grade being wrong on the book and why Yannis did not answer Matt's PM's and Why Yannis did not give Matt a chance to pay early if he needed $$ so bad.

Who says he really did give an explanation? He says he did..but that doesn't mean he did.

I think the point is the buyer or NON buyer in this case needs to do something instead of blowing it off..Hall of Shame perhaps for the seller or NON seller?

He's pissed about it. Though this isn't the most important thing in life. From our conversation last night, the probation list isn't out of the question. He certainly deserves it. I think this thread is embarassing enough but either way, it's not going to fix anything.

Blowing it off would of been to stomp his feet and move on. This thread obviously shows that he wasn't blowing it off.

You took it to the people and now the people want to hear the conclusion. You can't just use us for your own satisfaction and leave us hanging.

As far as I'm concerned you are both on my probation list until time stands still if you don't cough up the details. Don't bother buying from me, nor will I buy from you.

 

I'm happy that you came to an S & M type happy conclusion but someone give me my time back for 70 pages of selling research wasted by members agreeing in private that they aren't despicable to try to escape being put on the probation list in the end.

You made the resolution private by not making it public, and from the way you have worded it you had no say in the resolution either and that is sad.

BTW, don't worry because you're on my private probation list, not the forum one. (and I don't own any 'Tec 37"'s either.)

 

It's too bad you can't get this angry at the seller because you do need to grow some if you want buy here or you are going to find more of your purchases walking away from you (but not from me)

Count, you're probably right. Though, I'm not the person to make that decision. I think I more than did my part here in helping a friend. I'd do it again too because he IS a really close friend and it's cool to have someone so similar to me in this hobby.
