  1. Nope, and I can’t get an answer out of them either. I specifically asked them about the video and I attached the screenshot from their website that specifically said in step 1 it is under surveillance video. They are also very slow to get back to me and I have to keep reaching out to them. The CS rep responded to me on July 7th after I questioned them on the video again. Notice how they don’t even mention the video: Hello Kristopher,I had forwarded your information to our claims department. Someone will be reaching out to you next week regarding this situation. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I emailed them again on the 12th since I did not hear back from anyone and the CS rep responded: Hello Kristopher,Your invoice was sent to claims on Friday. Please allow some more time for our claims department to reach out to you. Please let me know if you have any other questions. So that’s where I am at now. Well over a month since they got the package from FedEx and still no word on my book or resolution. Maybe @CGC Mike can help since I see him on the boards assisting with these issues.
  2. I will definitely be sending them the screenshot of this from their site. They were pretty nonchalant about oh we never received that book. The video is literally step one of their process. I will continue to push them on it. They are not back until Wednesday is what I was told by the CS rep who’s been working with me. I’m curious to know, if they lose a book, then go through some kind of claim process since it’s not located but then find the book down the road, what do they do with it. Do they contact me? Or do they keep it for themselves and sell it? Just curious as I am going to be keeping an eye out for this book now on sites like eBay. I have enough scans of it that I know the distinct markings it had.
  3. @Gaard I reached back out to CGC today since it’s been 9 days since I last heard back from them and they informed me the following: They stated there was no video footage to review. Our receiver is insisting that the book was not in the box and they reached out to you to let you know. If you insist that the book was in the box then I will bring your submission to claims attention. So sorry for this kind of news. I am in shock with the level of incompetence at the receiving department. How was there no video of when my books were received? The receiver emailed me on 6-20 that there was only 3 books in the order and I responded back immediately to him that he was wrong and I never heard back which is why I called customer service. It seems very suspect to me that a high grade key book goes missing. I only had 4 books in my order. The book missing was the first appearance of Darkseid (Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen 134). I spent a good deal of time and money getting a high grade copy of it and now it’s gone. Unfortunately I am not sure if next steps. I’d just like to get the book back at this point. I’m not sure if there is someone at CGC who monitors these forums but I’d like someone to reach out to me. Below are the scans of the book missing.
  4. Thanks Gaard. They said that was one of things they were going to do. Hopefully it will answer the question of where it ended up.
  5. I am going through this right now also. I sent my books off on the 6th for Pressing and Grading and CGC signed for them on the 12th. They were received in the system on the 20th and I received an email saying a book was missing from my order. I responded back that it absolutely was in the order. I only had 4 books in this order and the one missing is a high grade key issue. I also normally scan all my books front and back before sending them off or dropping them off at shows. I spoke to their customer service today and I had to send them my scans and they are investigating. I am hoping they are able to locate the book as it was one I spent a good amount of time trying to find in great shape.
  6. Does anyone have any info on this particular book? I have a copy of it that I got as a freebie from the Marvel Booth at NYCC a number of years ago. When I was doing an inventory recently, I looked the book up on Covrprice.com and a Raw book sold for $3K and CGC graded went for $5K. Was this a super low print run? Just curious as I was floored when I saw the prices.
  7. Does CGC offer grading and encapsulation for the larger Marvel/DC treasury editions? I have a few I would like to submit if that has changed. I know years ago they did not allow them as I had a CGC witness with me at NYCC where I got the original Spider-Man vs Superman signed by Stan Lee and Carmine Infantino and afterwards he informed me at the booth I could not submit them which was a total bummer. The rep did not know that they couldn’t be submitted either until we got back to the booth.
