  1. I saw an All Flash Quarterly # 1 double cover about 10 years ago. Ouside was pretty good but the inside cover was sweet. I lost the dealers # or i would have called about it again because i have never forgotten it. Some guy in upstate NY. What a book. Elvis
  2. Wow Sal, thanks for the hard work! Elvis
  3. Just amazing. Ian, I think I speak for all of us when I say that you are now a legend. Elvis
  4. I saw an All flash #1 double cover once at a show. Now that is a good one. It was going for like $800 in about 1990. I wish i were a rich man! Elvis
  5. WOW!!!! What an accomplishment. Probably only 1 of 10 complete sets in the entire world (wild guess). Cant imagine what that would be worth. I mean, the Detectives alone would take a mint to complete!?!?!? Any future plans for futher complete sets? Regardless, Good for you! Must have taken many years and intense commitment.
  6. Believe it or not, I recently duplicated marvel chipping. I was using a simple paper cutter to cut a 40 page legal sized document to standard 8.5X11 size. The paper cutter had a dull blade and the document wound up with what looked exactly like marvel chipping. The only problem with this is that this chipping went through the entire 40 pages. As far as I know, Marvel chipping only affects the cover. The question is, were the covers cut seperately and then later on added to the pulp pages? Anyone know?
  7. I was collecting comics back then as a boy and the ony book i purchased at the candy store EVERY week was Hulk. I purchased the complete Hulk run from 150 to 300 at the same candy store. Unfortunately that run only had 1 key issue while i was collecting and FOR SOME DAMN REASON I HAVE EVERY BOOK BUT HULK 181. I have Hulk 180, and 182 but i guess i must have spent my 25c on gum that week instead of comics. If i had collected Spiderman, i would have a more valueable collection today. But that is not why i am a collector...
  8. This is a real shame. What I cant believe is that people STILL pay so much for high grade CGC Hulk 181's. Please take a look at the census on this BEFORE you bid so much. There are SOOOO many of them in high grade. IT IS INSANITY TO PAY MORE THAN $1k for this book. http://www.cgccomics.com/poplookup/grades_standard.asp?title=Incredible+Hulk+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++&publisher=Marvel+Comics++++++++++++&issue=181++++&year=1974
  9. Joanna: That was hilarious!!! My favorite is "Looks like I've got some kind of aquaguy powers. Those are never useful. " You are a classic! Thanks for the write in!
  10. Dan, I am sure i know next to nothing about what happened btwn you and Darth. I dont want to know. But to drop out of collecting comics over it?!? Come on! Suck it up and move on. Dont just up and quit collecting! At worst, sign up under a new name on the boards and start over. I am pretty sure they do it all the time here. Just because of a dispute with a single board member (albeit a popular one)? Stand your ground and stick with it!!! JMHO
  11. Hi Elvis! Thank you very much -- wanna be a character? There's always room for The King. -- Joanna DEFINITELY!!! Make me a good one. That would be great! Now all we need is an artist... Keep up the great posts.
