  1. One of these perhaps? These aren't mine BTW, just small images I found on the web. But...maybe BZ has copies he could share. Jeff
  2. I think you already saw these in the Shadow thread, but I love 'em so I'll post them again. J. Allen St. John cover: And I love this Brundage Conan cover so much I had to make it my avatar.
  3. I have more than 200. Very nice! I've just started collecting the bed sheet sized issues I've been eyeing some of these lately as well. I'd love to see you post some. Jeff, please feel free to post photos or scans of your pulps here. I'd love to see what you have in your collection. I think our interests overlap in many areas. I hate to sully your amazing thread with my meager low grade offerings, but since you asked.... These are a couple of recent pickups. I'm still waiting on a couple more Argosys - hopefully they'll come this week. I've just starting getting into pulps so I'm definately a newbie here, but I can see already how addicting it can be.
  4. I have more than 200. (thumbs u Very nice! I've just started collecting the bed sheet sized issues I've been eyeing some of these lately as well. I'd love to see you post some. Somebody should really start a "pulp have a cigar" thread. Jeff
  5. I have more than 200. (thumbs u So speaking of Amazing Stories and ERB, how about the 1927 Annual? Jeff
  6. Crazy book - never seen that one before! But why is the Shield's costume a Union Jack instead of the usual Stars and Stripes? It's the Canadian version of Pep comics. They redid the Shield so he was wearing the Union Jack. Wow, that's pretty cool! I didn't realize they did that - interesting! Jeff

  8. I'm loving the pulps! I've been picking up a few Argosys and Blue Books with ERB stories and covers over the last couple of weeks off ebay. It's amazing how cheap they are; these are essentially ERB true firsts, yet you can pick up pretty nice copies for under $50 (granted each novel is five or six issues, but still... ) Jeff
  9. So are the reader's... I have a bunch of issues of the Funnies, but I only get them for the John Carter stories. I swear I've never read a Phantasmo story - not that there's anything wrong with that. Jeff
  10. What an interesting looking book! I've never seen this one before. Cool Pick up! I bet I would find the story interesting. Jeff
  11. When I look at that page in the Gerber, the only thing I see is the HS 2!
  12. Jack, #'s 4 and 5 are both published by Hawley Publications. Also, for those that don't know, issue #2 was retitled Hi-Spot Comics and featured a David Innes/Pellucidar story. This book has been one of my grails for a long time and I finally won a low grade copy from heritage the other night - can't wait 'til it gets here! Unfortunately for ERB fans the planned Pellucidar series didn't work out and the title went back to Red Ryder with issue #3.
  13. NIcely done! I didn't even look at Red Ryder as I assumed they would all be western covers. I was starting to think it might be Popular 30 since it's a Gerber no-show and isn't in GCD.
  14. Nope. (thumbs u Ditto Beats me! Stumped!
  15. OMG! It's like the Kid in the Hall "I'm Pinching your Head" skits! Jeff
  16. Thanks for the comments guys! I'm about halfway finished with the run of Tip Top Tarzan covers; should make for a cool group shot when its complete. (thumbs u
  17. I've gotta say none of them really do much for me. I can think of so many other books I'd rather have for 6K. Superboy? . I actually like the Wow cover the best, but suppose if you made me choose I'd go with the MF 101, but I'd try to flip it first chance I got. Jeff
  18. "Willing suspension of disbelief." Fun story, Scrooge!
  19. Here's a couple of Lost Valleys courtesy of John Verzyl. I'm little disappointed in the foxing on the 45, but it's a cool cover.
  20. Scrooge, thank you so much for posting this! I've been wanting to see what the Weird Comics Thor stories were like! The story is pretty bad, but it's great to see this early "mythological deity as superhero" plot device. Cool Stuff! Jeff
