  1. Corners a little bit jagged, maybe a 8.8? Gorgeous book though
  2. Wait, is it generally considered that modern comics have sloppy writing or something? I've always thought them to be at least decent.
  3. I've heard good things about Web Of Spiderman in the Bronze Age. What's your guy's opinion on that series?
  4. So I know this is largely just opinion based, but I was wondering what the community enjoyed storywise as far as age is concerned in comic books. I know golden age was war and outlandish superhero escapades, while silver settled it down a bit, etc. etc. I wanted to know what your guys's opinion is on this subject. I personally think the bronze age of comics has some great storylines.
  5. Thanks to everyone for the answers! Considering most of these posts tone... I'm starting to feel like it just wont be worth it. I'll probably go to Fan Expo Dallas next year and try to snag some deals and meet some people. It's sad to hear that major comic cons these days are inaccessible. I've heard great stories from comic book veterans about their days attending SDCC, and the thrill of the hunt at the con. I guess its time to start looking for more local and smaller conventions.
  6. So I'm relatively new to comics, and I've heard that as far as shows go, SDCC is the holy grail. I see some people pay crazy amounts of money to fly out and attend the con, not even mentioning the cost for basic entry. As a newer collector with zero grails, is it worth it to pay all this money? Is the experience justified?
  7. Hey everyone! So I'm pretty new to collecting physical comics, and so far I have 69 (haha I know funny number) wildly different books. Some DC, some Marvel, some Image. Some are Batman, some are Spiderman, some are Avengers, some are Justice League, some are Warlock, and some... well, you get the picture. I currently have 3 BCW shortboxes in order to prep and have enough space to begin storing. The question I've encountered though, is how should I start storing them? I don't want to just group them all together now then have to dentangle them later. Should I go alphabetically? Should I go by publisher? By character? What do you guys reccomend?
  8. Hey all InsomniacComics here, but you can just call me Kayden! I'm getting into collecting after reading a lot of the old spiderman novels such as Goblins Revenge by Dean Smith, and of course, the MCU. I have a great interest in everything Marvel and DC, the Joker and Dr. Strange specifically. My biggest grail I'm starting out working towards is Strange Tales #110, first appearence of the sorcerer supreme himself. I'm in the Dallas area, and I eventually want to open a comic book and collectibles store, and creating a community of comic collectors in the area! Kind of a ramble there, but excited to be here and meet everybody!
