  1. Went today. Needs work but it was cool. Biggest issue is there was no exhibit on the history of Comic Con. Like, how hard would that be to put up something artifacts from the con's history at the least.
  2. Most probably know, but I didn't, that the Comic-Con Museum is open in San Diego now. This is pretty cool but I was hoping to see more in the way of comic books. The Archie stuff looks great, but I couldn't tell from the video if there was mush in the way of older material there. I know the San Diego Comic-Con hasn't really been about comic books in awhile, but I still can't see how Pac Man fits. Still, I'm going to check this out this weekend. Are there any other decent comic museums in the western US? IDW had an art museum here in San Diego but I don't think it has been open in awhile.

  4. Why not sign up for a month, binge it, then cancel? There's tons of comics on there, the Titans show, 3rd season of Young Justice, a bunch of the DC animated movies, Batman movies, animated series etc. A Swamp Thing series starts next month.
  5. That's it. You can easily spend an afternoon there. If it isn't enough, there are two other stores on the same street about a mile in each direction.
  6. SoCal Comics is far and away the best shop in San Diego in my opinion, especially if you are looking for back issues.
  7. I logged into eBay for the first time in years to report this.
  8. I have no affiliation with this show, and really don't know a whole lot aside what is on the flyer, but there is a joint comic convention / wrestling show in Riverside, CA on June 17th. http://socaluncensored.com/event/cap-comicpalooza-in-riverside-ca/ Steve
  9. I love how Pogo the whale is the "Jap monster of the deep" on that cover. Maybe Pogo's defeat at the hands of Jr. is what set off the whale hunting in the Southern Ocean...
  10. Kudos to lizards2 for some great Teen Titans books. Books were well packaged and accurately graded.
  11. Kudos to vtcomics for a great book and super fast shipping.
  12. Kudos to october for some great books from the recent vcc and super fast shipping. All books were as described.
  13. Thanks to bcc for a great book and super fast shipping. The book was well packaged too. I'd highly reccomend.
  14. Kudos to CycloneComics for a great copy of Animated Comics and super fast shipping. Thanks again.
  15. Kudos to pickycollector for a couple cool books. He had great prices, bulletproof packaging, and accurate grading.
  16. Not sure if it has been mentioned, but in "Kill the Umpire" starring William Bendix the little girl is reading an issue of Captain Marvel Adventures.
  17. Kudos to ArAich for an awesome book and super fast shipping. Also, his grading is very conservative and I'm very happy with my book. Steve
  18. I want to thank ckb for a great book and super service. I'm not sure how he got the book to me that fast.
  19. I didn't see it and it wasn't on the listed on my LCS's "New This Week" board.
  20. Kudos to BuffyFan for ultra fast shipping and tightly graded Actions. Would gladly buy from him again.
  21. I can't wait for this book to come out also. Since the first pedigrees I ever bought were Palo Altos, I've been looking forward to reading that section for some time, even though it's not as exciting as some of the others. Glad to see it's closer to coming out.
  22. Kudos to mschmidt for super fast shipping and great service. I had the book in 2 days.
  23. I'd buy a Battle Beast spinoff.... I loved how much stuff was jammed into #58, it was like getting 2 comics for the price of one. I'm loving the Invincible army stuff. My guess is Immortal Man on the cover.
  24. I just started on Invincible and Wolf Man and love both so far (I'm caught up to about issue 30 on Invincible and about #4 on Wolf Man). I'm thinking about trying to track down all the back issues to both and adding them to my pull lists as well. I'm in the group who doesn't venture outside of Marvel or DC (actually, haven't bought a non-DC comic in years except Project Super Powers and the new Tales from the Crypt), but I'm real glad a friend convinced me to take a look at these comics. Anyone who isn't checking them out is missing out.
