  1. Not sure where in LA you are, but Pulp Fiction in Long Beach is a great shop - the owner, Ryan, has kept it alive through some tough times, break-ins, etc.
  2. You need to lay off the pressure when pressing, too - you got a gift grade in the first place with those sunken staples.
  3. @CGC Mike, same frustration with books like DOCTOR WHO WEEKLY - why are these titles getting dinged for tape stains when it was part of the book/manufacturing process?
  4. Looks like the daily emails resumed about a month ago but strangely the site remains un-updated.
  5. Etc, etc, etc. Also, the Captain Atom did NOT have a detached staple when I submitted it. Done again until something improves. Cyclical, I suppose.
  6. Here we go again... Submitted 14 books - every single one of them not only had the return of the dreaded "light finger bends to cover", but have now added "light fingerprints to cover" to most of them as well... Seeing as I cleaned each book myself and wore white cotton gloves, I'm pretty sure where they came from.
  7. Are there any type of price guides for this or are people just winging it? ....not that I have a ton of 80s/90s tour shirts in storage or anything....!!!! ahem
  8. Yeah, filming and even trying to SEE books was tough thanks to the glare - add the fact that a lot of dealers had their books in old, wrinkled bags and it became a game of "what issue is that? how much?" every 10 seconds. But yes, LOTS of dealers, LOTS of comics and LOTS of...weapons? What was with all the sword, knife and light saber vendors?
  9. Also, since this was an "exclusive" for the newsstand market, some direct retailers complained - therefore, it was also available as a #1 direct edition. Same thing happened with a Ghost Rider/Doctor Strange crossover, when Doc was a direct only title.
  10. I want to say All Comics or something similar? I'm pretty sure "All" was in the name.
  11. Was there on Friday as well - was shocked to get parking right at the convention center at 11:15am. Talk about dead! The Washington guys above got me for a couple of books - yes, the pricing was crazy, raws-for-slabbed pricing, but I was tired of searching for a high grade Dark Shadows #1. They did a bit of a discount when asked. But yeah, some of the dealers really need a new calendar. It ain't 2021 anymore.
  12. DJ-only promo single. Never seen one before! I had the album as a kid & wore it out!
  13. This appears to be a case that surrounds your existing CGC case for display purposes:
  14. Emerging from semi-retirement to say a couple of things about this show: Amazing, lots of deals if you asked, even made a few trades for good stuff - great job, Terry Anyone need a Savage Tales #1? It seemed like just about every dealer had multiples Anyone need a Malibu Sun #13? Same deal
