  1. I hope Greggy is taking notes here. Great submission !
  2. Minor grail for a Strange Adventures collector .......................
  3. Gorgeous books. Judging from the appearance and cert numbers, very tightly graded also. Congrats !
  4. John, it is not uncommon for a problematic Board member get a new, alternate ID to promote an agenda. The telltale sign is when the new member comes on without introduction, just guns blazing. Your posts fit the profile. If I was wrong, please consider it hazing and accept my apology. I would really love to see pics of your 8 high grade books. It sounds like a very focused collection.
  5. Very cool. First time I have seen one. Strange that a last issue would have a 2nd printing. I suspect the story line simply ended as opposed to low print runs.
  6. What are you basing this off of? Can you be more specific? Are you stating that theft IS rampant via shipping outbound from CGC? If so, please provide additional info. Thanks. Seems weird that someone would sign up on the Boards to post these comments. I sense an agenda. Don't bother responding to him. You will probably not get a reasonable response.
  7. Very cool group post. I think you won the 3rd print in the comics4less auction last Sunday. I thought it went cheap also. I was going to bid strong but the new case scared me off. Still, an excellent pickup. Congrats !
  8. I have a good feeling about this. This was a good contact. Did CGC put you in touch with this person ? I'm sure CGC does not want this to end badly and a friendly push on their end should help.
  9. I don't see how He is trying to start the movie hype. I hope he realizes, with this audience, his remarks fall on deaf ears. This used to be a fun thread but 'collectors with agenda' have ruined it.
  10. Great read. Thanks for the History on PHM.
  11. I think CGC is used to seeing this option with no additional insurance because many of us have private insurance like CIA. Not really a red flag.
  12. Nice haul but that Teen Titans looks out of place with all the other books. Must have been a throw in ! .
  13. Memphis is a big hub. I once had a book get routed from Memphis to the wrong city. It then got shipped back to Memphis and then to me. I can't remember if the misroute was tracked online but I do remember being concerned for a couple, three days. IMO, Fedex is the best carrier. I have a feeling it will show up for you. However, PLEASE, get yourself some CIA insurance. Then you never have to worry about buying insurance on a package again.
  14. Without seeing the book, without knowing the page quality, and without knowing the pedigree (some pedigrees sell for less), and without even knowing if the book is slabbed you are going to predict a selling price. You're good ! and yeah I know my stuff . I honestly have no clue. I don't know but I do know Again, you're good !
  15. Ghost Town should resub all his old label books and see how many come back 9.6 or better, including this one. I respectfully disagree. I think they look awesome in the old label. However, if he wants to sell the books, then maybe it's a good idea. Otherwise, why bother spending all that money if they are keepers ? Obviously, these books would be walkthrus and not cheap.
  16. Incredible copy. Look at those cover colors. Old label goodness. A perfect example showing how tough they graded early on. Love this copy !
  17. There were some scans and discussions but they probably 'disappeared'.
  18. This is a nice looking book. Strange but it's for sale on E-Bay already for 12K. The seller is a big dealer. It could be consignment but that would mean a loss. I always think the buyer found something 'wrong' with the book that he didn't like. I see a little SCS but it looks very good to me.

  20. Yes, but there is a chip on the top. Unintentional, but the glare off the mylar hides it.
