  2. that jla page with the jsa appearing.............. wow, if that was a marvel page, the final price would have been multiples
  3. if that was not dragged out, the GS X-Men page would not have sold
  4. especially when we will probably never see any art from Avengers 4 for sale which makes it only 7 kirby penciled issues and limits the pool further.
  5. Very recently offered for sale on a collector's website, now on FB as part of a deal or no deal at a fixed price
  6. the two i own are posted in this thread and two more are on CAF............. the 1st page splash and the one of her falling right before chapter two belong to private collectors........... the only pages i have never seen are the ones of natasha in the shower which are probably the ones shady64 is most interested in. https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=973935 page 6 https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=464469 page 8
  7. this wound up at exactly the same number as the jla 195 cover from last year. i think the two covers are very comparable and so the same price is not a shock. congratulations to the winner.
  8. thoughts on the liefeld cap? lot still being auctioned as i type this.
  9. that schedule is not quite right. episode 6 dropped yesterday and the 7th will be next week. it appears that the show is "visible" on prime but they only allow you to see the 1st episode for free. you can only see the rest if you subscribe. they did the same thing with the show "From", which i highly recommend. i had to get the mgm+ service to watch the 2nd season!
  10. it is- it used to be called epix but rebranded. they're about 6 episodes in first season. i am also enjoying it. nice to see fitz from "agents of shield" again.
  11. apparently one miracle just did come up as i also see the pages on ebay
  12. For sale is a Hard Cover copy of "Stardust" that was signed by both Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess, back in 2021. This remarqued edition was offered as a San Diego exclusive and limited to 20 copies. Forbidden Planet UK was about to claim 10 of these which is how I got this. This is their description: $850 plus shipping An elegant and lavish coffee table book revealing the origins, processes, and brilliant final paintings produced for the award-winning fantasy novel Stardust written by Neil Gaiman. Includes work for all of the different editions, and even the ultra-rare portfolio A Fall of Stardust with contributions from many famous cartoonists and illustrators including Mike Mignola and Sergio Aragones. Signed by Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess with a variant slipcase and dustjacket and a Limited Edition print in a dedicated envelope, featuring a unique original sketch remarque. I literally just opened the book to photograph/scan it. Book is in NM/M condition and the print is probably not quite that as there is slight handling wear. The remarque is on a separate board and is NOT bound in the book. A very unique and hard to get collectible. i can accept Paypal goods and services (please add 3.5% extra) or an old fashion check. Will mail this anywhere in the continental USA. I will give an exact postage charge, based upon your location (insurance will be included).

  14. i agree- the cap page seemed to be a lot, the champions page did great and the alpha flight 12 page didn't take a beating being moved so quickly
  15. that perez marvel fanfare/black widow page fetched a really, really, really strong price.............
  16. i disagree with that. these pieces have been live now for quite a bit of time for the world to see....... probably 99% of us on these boards and who will watch the auction know exactly what it is we are looking at or bidding on. do you really think that the auctioneer is going to offer us some words of wisdom that is going to change our minds on whether we bid or not ? i don't think so., and she is not my sister or wife.
  17. except for the ASM 116 cover, nothing went crazy- i was surprised. i thought the perez ww cover was a STEAL.
  18. i got this yesterday- a page from Batman/aliens 2 featuring the work of the late, truly great bernie wrightson. i loved bernie's version of batman with the long ears .
  19. My friend Jeff asked me to post this for him.. Jeff was Joe's good friend, family friend and represented Joe for art sales/commissions, Joe Giella has sadly passed away. I had the honor and pleasure of being his rep and good friend for many years. He is a Legend in our hobby with a career spanning over 70 years. From the Golden Age through the Silver Age and along the way receiving the highest awards that one can receive. He graced us with iconic moments in the mythos of many of our favorite super heroes. His work was seen in many strips in the papers and in commercial work as well. More importantly was Joe the man. He was kind, considerate of others and never having a bad word to say. The commissions he did for collector's he took great pride in and as he would say, "If I would not hang it in my house I will not send it out." At conventions he was so humble and the fans would come to see him and tell their stories of how they grew up on his work. Joe was shy and appreciated the fan's adulation that they bestowed upon him. We always had long lines at conventions and he would honestly ask me "Are they here to see me?", and I would kiddingly say "No Joe, they are here for me." He touched so many lives and was truly unaware of the impact that he had on people. Over the years he would tell me stories of the entire artist’s he worked with and about things that went on in the business. He is one of the last from that era and to have those stories to pass on to others helps us all to learn about the foundation of our hobby. His accomplishments as an artist are too many to name here and there will be few to attain his output, longevity and consistency in maintaining the highest quality work. So many artist's at these shows would come up to Joe just to shake his hand or tell him that he inked their work at some point or that they were in awe of his career. From legends to newer artist's they loved Joe and respected him. I know our community lost this Legendary figure and the world has lost a Very Special Soul. Joe was like a father to me in many ways and as with any of you who knew him or just met him I feel blessed that he let us share in his life. My deepest prayers go out to his wife Shirley and family and friends at this time. Jeffrey Harnett
  20. how long before we see that piece either on a dealer's website or in the flip of the day discussion?
  21. here is a piece that i have had for around 18 years or so which i think is pretty good- from Marvel Fanfare 12. One comment so far! https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=57459
