  1. I had one terrible commission interaction with him. He took the gig (and money) and I gave him some time. He continued to post newer work and solicit others while not completing mine. It took 10 months and 10,000 apologies to finally get it out of the door. He's on the "never again" list for me.
  2. Couple new pieces. All my art is Morlock art! I'm a huge Portacio fan so getting this for a reasonable price was massive for me This DISAVOWED page was cheap on HA and the energy moves the figures across the page I needed v3.0 page and this did the job The FATE book is actually very good. This is my second from the series but I needed it because of the Ted Knight appearance I don't love the digital stat panel BUT this is from that era where the Heroes Reborn Hawkeye was a member of Wildstorm team Wetworks? Too funny Michael Lopez and Richard Bennett did stunning work on this DV8 page.
  3. Spending real money ($300+) on a commission from most artists is pretty nuts in my opinion. I've got a couple themed sets of things and I don't know that I'd get my money back overall if I tried to tell them, but I like them and a few might go for some bucks. The risk of dealing with newish professionals is definitely there - I have a few that burned me on time/effort and I'll never buy a book they work on because of the bad feeling - but largely it was either an artist I'd followed on social media (so I knew they weren't a total maniac) or through an art dealer.
  4. I'm updating this thread because it's only one that has a "review" of Visar Alard. (I googled the name after I paid for a page from CAF.) I received a tracking number in a day or two and was told it was about 10-14 days. The tracking updated on the France side but was in European non-update limbo which made me a little nervous. On day 10, today, I saw that my local USPS office scanned the code and it was promptly delivered in pristine shape.
  5. Want To Buy a STARMAN page by Mike Mayhew. He illustrated STARMAN #44 as well as a short story in the 80 PAGE GIANT. There are pages on his CAF but he has never responded to my messages. Any other sellers should PM me. Thanks!
  6. I've had luck with local print shops that do blueprints and other oversized items.
  7. I didn't know this was a thing! From JSA #31 by Peter Snejberg - the brickwork is exquisite. And Juan Ferreya, NEW SUICIDE SQUAD #18
  8. Finally got my Tom Raney STORMWATCH page. Followed by a Raney TEAM ONE page. Lots of cool action! I jumped on this dynamic Tom Derenick piece from the new WILDC.A.T.S #6. The book's other artists are mostly digital so it was nice to get a tangible page.
  9. I have primarily 90s-early 2000s pages so I have a good selection of lettered-pages. The DETECTIVE COMICS here, lettered by Todd Klein, is particularly cool because in the first panel, the "OR AM I JUST PARANOID?" caption was corrected with individually pasted letters in P A R A N O I D which gives a cool meta touch. The STORMWATCH page is immaculately lettered by Bill Oakley (a true unsung lettering hero).
