Go with Batman 609. It’s most likely that Tommy Elliot/Hush becomes a key Batman villain over time. That said, Lee, as purely an artist, as opposed to a writer/artist, has been at the mercy of the creative whims of the writers he’s worked with, in terms of establishing a key book/character/first app over his career.

Why is there an announcement? Companies like to announce these things (SS 2 movie cast) to build excitement, rather than just having them magically appear in a theater near you one Friday.

As the decade ended, some collectors crept back, with the rise of eBay, CGC, the movies, and pockets of increased quality.

From '91-'93, if you went into sports card stores, you started to see stacks of that week's hot new releases showing up on display tables, and sections of the card stores being devoted to comic books. Things like Valiant, the Batman back breaking issues, the Marvel hologram covers, and the polybagged return of Superman books were everywhere.

Two way street. The customer may not have an hour to wait while the shop owner cross references eBay. Yeah, in this case, Moc is pulling the guy’s chain, but customers’ time is important, too, and as a shop owner, I may be neglecting other customers and losing sales by having my face buried in eBay for an hour.

Unless you are a Certified grading expert I would recommend a PM. And try to avoid the "Grading is subjective" as a way to warm them up. I, personally, don’t bother. I just tend to let the overgraded item in question migrate down and off the front page. And, I’m talking about egregious examples, not a hypothetical case where a good grader in general is selling an 8.5 that you think is more like an 8.0.
