  1. The ending to White Bird in a Blizzard The ending was pretty eyebrow raising....
  2. There's only been a few Marvel titles I've followed regularly in the last ten years, ASM, Daredevil, and Fantastic Four being the main ones. I always see Dan Slott being criticized for his writing on Spidey, but I've enjoyed his books. Ill have to look into more of his stuff. I stumbled upon those Spidey stories in a thrift shop, got the collected Family Ties,Brand New Day collection s and also some Ultimate trades.didnt like the UFF much, but enjoyed the Spidey and Xmen.
  3. I thought you may have been out of the comic thing at that time.I took the same sort of break.1992 till 2008.
  4. And I know,I could look it up,but I like to try and get a conversation going....im not up on modern books...loved Spider Man Noir too....yes,im a Spiderman freak...
  5. I can always count on you!Thank you. I cant believe I have a modern want list now!I also missed Avenging SpiderMan #9.....Got them all from the corner shop from issue one,and somehow missed that issue...grrrr
  6. My grandmother was raised in Holland and came to Canada after WW2.1945 actually. She says she still thinks in Dutch,or Hollander as she calls it,but has difficulty speaking it as she seldom gets the opportunity.Apparently before i was enrolled in school,I was fairly fluent in Dutch but lost it once I was in Kindergarten and they started teaching me French, and I was not using it often anymore.
  7. This Screwball character that appeared in the 550 s ASM.anyone able to point me to more of her appearances?
  8. Living in Chinatown, there are six small grocers that sell it on just my block(i count my block as both sides of my street)and five resaraunts that serve it (phõ is very popular here, and it is more of a little Vietnam now).im not sure if its for sale in the Pharmacy.....and the hairdressers probably have some in the lunch fridge.I LOVE my neighborhood. Twenty years and counting.Always a cot for my board buds!
  9. I've often wondersd, folks that speak multiple languages and dialects...do they think in their minds with all of them,or mostly the native tongue?myself,i speak two languages fairly fluently...and since I speak one more than the other, think mostly in that.but do find myself thinking at times in the other...only noticing really if I'm stuck on a word..?
