Anyone else surprised to see the CGC 7.5 in the November Comiclink Auction sell for $1850?

Professor Zoom's first appearance was in Flash 139, the first Flash comic I ever bought. As such it played an integral part in making me a lifelong fan of DC comics:
Here from my collection is a scan of #139:

What would be a good price to pay for a Showcase 22 CGC 7.0 at this time? Do you think the value will drop with the movie buzz dying down?

Here is the Batman 121 Club thread. I have the CGC 7.5 but I sold my raw as a CGC 6.5.

I sent my ungraded copy to CGC and it's gotten a 6.5 cow. I plan to sell it since I have a 7.5 oww.

It was nice to be in the collecting world in the early 80's,,
Most Batmans between # 101-130 could be had for less than $20.00 in decent grades,,
I know this went for under $20.00 in the early 80's,,
Nice book (thumbs u

I think all these are tough in high grade and with this being recognized as a 1st app for a top 10 Batman villain it has taken on a huge status.
I think there's a 9.2 out there that sold in the $1000's.
Nice pick up on the Hakes auction, I threw in a low bid hoping it would hit, but no luck.

Thanks

I've already bought and sold several books on the forums, and I plan to do some more sales in the future. Thanks for your feedback.

One of the Batman books in my collection I treasure.
Thanks and your Batman #171 is also sharp.
Here's my Batman 121 copy. I plan to send it to CGC sometime soon.

Its funny to think that thousands of dollars can ride of a grade. If it was resubbed and got a 9.8, or the owner somehow dropped the case and damaged the book slightly, the book could lose so much value. I rather stick to my 8.0 copy, even if I was rich.

Sucks! I was going to bid on it, but it over my $100 budget.

Thanks for the info
