  1. GCstomp the only thing clear here is slander on your part. mods notified
  2. John, I jumped the gun and filed an authorized payment because it was my only option since I paid using "Gift" I wasn't about to absorb the loss. My bank never said a word about I didn't authorize the payment and most of all. I guarantee you'll get back your book, In fact I will post the confirmation number as soon as I ship it out. I only suggested waiting for shipping the book back, was because paypal never canceled my request to cancel the claim. I also copied and pasted the final cancellation page that shows I did. Besides John, You posted that you never knew I was on the probation list. You asked me to post the "I'll take it" icon and I told you it would be better that I didn't because of the reason of being on the probation list and also I told you I was on the list and said if you sell to me I will send payment in a few moments which I did. Now who is telling stories? Anyway, there is no reason for you to make this public but since you want too, then so be it.
  3. :Nods: I now have to send back a book and spend money out of my pocket (that I don't have) and with all the stress and money lost. I learned my lesson.
  4. Serves you right for actually paying for it. What kind of response is this?? mods notified
  5. You want me to fetch some cheese to go with your whine? Just consider it karma for all the trouble you've been. Love, Dice PS. so it's okay to screw someone over and justify it because he didn't buy a book from another seller?

  7. the comic is warped, I think the seller knew it.
  8. I just received my comic purchased from a seller on this board, not happy at all. I should have known better when the comic was priced $75 less than previous GPA. I just figured a CGC 9.6 with white pages was the real deal, but no it's warped and has a 1 1/2 inch line running across the lower back page. I just can't believe something with a line running across would be graded a 9.6. The seller never showed a copy of the back and I just never thought to ask. Oh well, and as far as the warped issue, I'm guessing that is from sitting in the CGC case but who knows. I'll tell you folks, it's getting harder and harder to get a fair shake. PS: I also placed this in the General for a much larger view.
  9. My friend, you are exactly right. I should keep my mouth shut instead of trying to make comments about how or what is going on here. Thought I was helping, but turns out I just created an angry lynch mob. BucOne, we are all human...it is easy to post off the cuff or at a first knee jerk reaction. I often typed, paused for a few seconds before I click "submit" and decided not to post. For every post I made here, I probably deleted or not submitted just as many. Mostly because I know how I am. It is easy to shoot out a smart post to a comment or a reply I felt is "idiotic" at the time by another poster or simply something I disagreed with... After a few seconds, cooler head prevailed...but that is just me. I have commented many times via PM to other board members about the "crazy" prices that some sellers asked so you and I and just about everyone here have at least once or more think the asking price is out of wack but so be it. I only have been on this board actively for 2 months (I lurked for about 7 months) and I rarely see a book that was sold here that is not inline if cheaper than GPA so I do believe like anything else...if you price it right, there is always a buyer. If you can't sell in 48 hours then there are 2 reasons...the book is overpriced or the book is not wanted and the seller will reduce or take it off the market. The other reason is the economy but at the right price, some people will find some ways to get the book if it is a key book. Now, have you sold that X-men 1 9.2 yet? if not, let me know and I will send you an offer and don't shoot me if I say your asking price is WACKO very true
  10. Glad to hear it. I really, really think you owe Adam an apology, but let your conscience be your guide. I agree, Adam I'm sorry for overreacting and intruding on your selling thread. It was very rude and unprofessional of me.
  11. Overall, I would like to apologize for not carrying out my obligations and for criticizing others auctions.

  13. By "mislead" (it's "misled", btw) I'm assuming you mean "try to sell books here and have the buyer flake on them"? Because, yeah, that's kinda the purpose of the probation list - to warn members about the people who do this sort of thing (thumbs u ahh, no...maybe trying to over charge for books. Trying to re-sell a book at 40% profit in less than 2 months is nutz. Anyway, I'm here to help the little guy and won't let you big bad wolves try to take advantage. Are you in high-school or college or maybe work for the goverment? You seem to have no real world experience at making a living. it's okay to make a profit, but to gouge your fellow board member is taking it to the extreme. btw, making a living by selling comic books on this site sounds very risky to me. I thought this was a hobbyist community. How did he gouge anyone? He bought low and sold high. Sales 101 right there. Are you jealous or what? You keep harping about "he sold a book for more then he paid for it". Please explain what is wrong with that? A lot of the posters here are comic dealers that use this site, and others, as a means to supplement thier income by selling books to people all over the world instead of being limited to the walk in traffic at their brick and mortar store. When you post an and then disappear and never follow through on the deal, you have affected that person ability to make money. Of the two, it is you who the little man should be protected from. I see it's pointless, but anyway this is NOT Ebay, this is a HOBBY message board. Besides, the comic books were sold, so no worries. I'm really trying to understand where you're coming from, but I just don't get it. You're mad that Adam made a profit on that book? Is that it? Did you ever bother to wonder how many books he sold for a loss? Not that EITHER of those things is any of your business, but you seemed so preoccupied by how much money Adam makes at his job. (And yes, comics are Adams job...) I have seen several books being purchased and then placed on this board at a substantial increase. It just happen to be his book that I pointed out. I also mentioned Roy's book as well.

  19. Not with everyone. I'll start a list 1) joeypost Anyone care to join? Me neither. There are people I will not deal, period. 1) joeypost 2) r1970d Hey Roy, why would anyone buy your AC #23 when there is one on Ebay for the same price @ 4.5?
  20. Threatening board members can get you a strike. Be careful. he asked me where I lived and I told him, so what's your point?
  21. I'd like to see those responses if you still have them. Those two individuals were and have been nothing but helpful to me when I first became a member here. Why would a seller be mean and nasty when hes trying to sell you something and make new customers. That makes no ing sense. DRX it was only Comicgrinder, maybe it was because of his problems with his wife..I dunno but he isn't getting my business. Foolkiller was cool at first but when I tried to make amends, he was nasty, response was leave him alone.
  22. I really do understand that even the simple act of responding to this clown in the first place gives him more credibility than he deserves. And I know what people are thinking when they read the thread. (And fortunately he's not even a good liar. I have the auction text. I have his E-mails. I can very easily prove who is telling the truth and who isnt.) But what about a potential scenario where someone sees an eBay auction of mine, doesn't know me, Google's my name, sees only Bucone's post and decides not to bid on my auction? If 499 people read his posts and realize who and what he is, and 1 person reads a post out of context and it costs me 1 sale.. how is it fair that his lies cost me a sale? I do know I'm over-reacting, but this is a very sensitive topic for me. Years ago, I had a pretty successful comic business where I was doing almost 100% of my sales through eBay. I woke up one morning and it was almost as if overnight half of my highest dollar auctions were ending with non-paying bidders. I got frustrated and stopped selling on eBay for quite a while. It wasn't until last year I found out the reason behind the slew of non-paying bidders. Another dealer (who I don't even think knew me at the time) was E-mailing my winning bidders on high dollar auctions any time I got a good price and he had a similar book, and encouraging them to buy his books instead. He was doing so by making accusations that I was a con-artist using stolen scans to sell books I didn't own and warning people not to send money. I was relatively new to comics at the time and apparently some people believed him because they'd never dealt with me before. And my business suffered because of it. When I see people like Bucone posting I have a bad habit of over-reacting. And since I can't stop him from acting like an , the only other thing to do is take a few days off. Besides, today's a day to give thanks. I don't want to spend any more of it arguing with someone like BucOne! I appreciate the responses & PMs though and I'm sure I'll be back in a few days. show us the proof
  23. Yes, you finally disclosed restoration, but you originally did not, which was my point. Sorry it wasn't me, now on the other hand my roommate may have been. Btw, how could your auction be ruin by someone who didn't even win it? I think you need to be upset with the person who won the auction and didn't pay, not someone who didn't win, regardless if they had more than one bid. There are thousands of auctions with multiple bids, but only one winner. So maybe you should leave the boards.
