  1. Looking for Patrick Scherberger Spidey art from Marvel Adventures Spider-Man. Anyone got any decent Spidey panel pages they're willing to part with? -j
  2. Listing some art to raise funds for a Heritage win. https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=88270 Includes: - Whilce Portacio X-Factor splash - Chris Bachalo/Tim Townsend Wolverine/Beast splash - Scott McDaniel Batman splash - Juanjo Guarnido Blacksad sketch - Keith Giffen Trencher - Patrick Scherberger Secret Wars w/ Wolverine/Black Costume Spidey - Sean Murphy sketches - David Petersen Mouse Guard - Linda Medley Castle Waiting - Chris Riddell dragon Happy collecting! -j
  3. One small tweak here - Jim Lee copied Whilce Portacio, not the other way around. When Jim was breaking in he was lifting his style from everyone like a sponge, including studio-mate Whilce. There are plenty of Jim Lee clones out there, but Whilce should not be grouped in among them.
  4. Howdy gang! I'm looking for a decent Scott McDaniel page from Batman 579, ideally with Orca. Will pay top dollar. Please ping me if you're considering selling
  5. This reminds me of when the ASM328 cover sold a decade ago. Crazy price, the market moved, but...we haven't seen a $600k McSpidey since. Does anyone actually know if it was bought by a fan vs investor? Spending 4-5x the hobby high does not seem like you'll be making a profit anytime soon, but I could totally see fans going not_in_tune_with_social_norms crazy like this
  6. Those are for original paintings! Actually very affordable prices for finished Struzan art:)
  7. The trick is to ADD to your collection with a wonderful original! https://galacticgallery.com/franklin-mint-plates
  8. This one looks decent. https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/mike-zeck-and-others-marvel-super-heroes-secret-wars-8-story-page-25-black-costume-venom-or/p/7266-92001.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515
  9. That's where I got the surrounding pages:) And he is super awesome and responsive! For anyone else looking for McDaniel Bat-art, head over to http://www.scottmcdaniel.net/
  10. I've got a couple of the surrounding pages and would love to put the flashback scene back together. If anyone might part with this or know where it is, please ping me:)
  11. A very surreal new Drew Struzan art day for me:) His original submitted painting for Back to the Future 3!!! Robert Zemekis and Bob Gale were undecided and asked for so many changes - day to night, changing Marty's costume (twice), flame trails - that Drew decided it was easier to paint a second piece:) That second piece later added Mary Steenburgen and became the poster everyone knows. This piece, the first version, stayed untouched, exactly as Drew originally submitted it. I'm on cloud nine about this one:) https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1737405&GSub=197196
  12. Am I the only one who hid his art collection, gave pieces of the map to various collectors, and then spent years setting up booby traps?
  13. This one: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1386054 I was after a great big Wolverine, in costume, claws out, and inked by Scott, ideally from Xtinction Agenda. The only pieces I preferred to this were locked away with krakens guarding them:)
  14. Howdy gang! As a thank you for his wonderful newsletter I wrote a fun little article for ComicArt.Tips entitled "Knowing an Artist's Oeuvre". It's about doing proper research and may be helpful for newer collectors. I used Jim Lee's run on Uncanny X-Men as an example:) https://comicart.tips/jim-lee-x-men-original-art/ Enjoy!
