Be sure to give Silo a try on Apple+ as well. Without a doubt my favorite series of 2023 and one I simply can’t stop thinking about. Best Apple+ series since Ted Lasso.

Have a Cigar! MLJ Publishing and Golden Age Archie only!
CrocHntr replied to Shield's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Not my first MLJ/Archie, but certainly my first contribution to this thread. I’m excited to add Zip 35 to my collection. Not only a cool cover, but first appearance of Ginger Snapp. -
Patrick Stewart is back as Captain Picard

I stopped early in season 2, but after that preview, I think I need to catch up. Definitely a nostalgia rush for me. -
For me, hands down best hero series / movie of 2022. My fear with the DC Gunn announcement is that Season 2 will be left to a lesser talent now that Gunn is focused on the greater universe. So many superhero shows are just retreads lacking any real originality (which is near impossible to do at this point), so Peacemaker was a breath of fresh air for me.

Thunderbolt #1 (Peter Cannon) - 1965 or 1966?
CrocHntr replied to Upgrayedd2's topic in Comics General
I checked both my copies, and they show the Jan 1966 date. One of them has a handwritten date of Nov 10, 1965 which probably makes sense given that books are typically on shelves before the stated publication date… -
I love the way Gunn weaves in music to his stories. Particularly GoTG and best thing he’s done IMO in Peacemaker. But I realize the charm is in the uniqueness of that, so not a foundation to build upon for every DC film to come. Still, his creativity should add something exciting to the DC brand.
