Not sure what caused the 9.2 on WD #2. Looks immaculate. It didn’t come with grader notes. I bought the Uncanny #266 off the shelf at a PX when I was a young soldier and had six pack abs (I now have 12 pack abs)
I've got a pony keg abs!

Also, note that I would trade all 30 books listed in this thread for an Amazing Fantasy #15 in CGC 4.0 OW or better. I think that is about $3000 over GoCollect FMV's in favor of the AF15.
-
I didn't realize GoCollect was providing FMV's again, so I now have at least a starting point again for trade values. Also, I will have 6 to 10 books to add to my available trade list this weekend when I get hands on my submission from over a year ago.

There was only one thing that bugged me about this episode. You have this survivalist who we see makes a massive effort to secure and fortify his homestead however when the crappola hits the fan and the raiders attack what does this well-prepared survivalist do? Why, he runs right out into the middle of the street with zero cover! And gets shot.
At this point, he wasn't so much concerned about himself as he was concerned about protecting the one he loved.

Just saw it tonight and thought the same thing. Although Wong had some memory of its contents, perhaps other do too. Maybe it can be re-written.
It was only all the Darkhold "copies" that were destroyed (and one earth's hidden location with the original runes or whatever), right? If that is correct, then the book could be re-written by visiting and transcribing from the original site on another universe.

I have recently noticed a slight trend on IG. I have seen sellers use women who are showing much of their "assets" as a method to sell books.
Look, I'm no prude. However, if I was a female collector, I would find this strategy to be offensive. If sellers used sculpted men in Speedo swimming trunks to sell comics, I would feel the same way. Again, I'm no prude. However, I don't think it's appropriate to use a person's sexuality to sell comics. With some other products, it's a fine line, but sexuality and comics just aren't related. Yes, this is despite the fact that many artists draw anatomically impossible women.
Do you agree with this method of selling comics? I would like to hear your thoughts.
Here are some recent examples:
Umm... I don't see any comics in these pics. What are you talking about?

Well, I imagine this is nothing more than your usual post-movie spanking and beat down that relatively common movie hype books take after the movie has been released, even though it's considered to be a success both from a critic and financial point of view:
Looks like the above CGC 9.8 graded copy sold for $6,900 in Heritage's Monday auction while the CGC 9.6 graded copy below sold for $2,400:
Never could figure out why speculators were paying 5 figures for this book prior to the release of the movie, especially the guy who spent $18K for his copy as the movie was being released as I imagine they must have really brought into all of the hype and glam at the time.
That 9.8 has a bad cut and/or wrap and is also off-centered in the slab. Probably impacted the final price some.
