  1. Mine are in mylar and mattboard and I rotate them onto the mantle from time to time then back in the vault
  2. I really wanted an original series (silver surfer 1-18) Surfer splash page...was so close in may of 23, but didn't materialize...so, that's my only goal for 2024...tall wish
  3. I feel the same way, bought more, sold none...2024 I believe I will sell some pages that I bought that I wasn't as discerning as I should have been, and buy pages that I feel offer some "pop" or epic value in nature (guess I will know it , if/when I see it)
  4. its the only non surfer page I believe I've really been keen on, but like you, I wasn't prepared to pay that much
  5. correct...280 hammer + bp (I just was too lazy to calculate )
  6. first Iron Man panel at 280+...surprising or about right?
  7. I saw one page I was already aware of that I would have like to have bought, but just felt it was higher than I valued it at...
  8. there was a time I owned both oct and nov at same time...didn't seem like such a big deal back then
  9. I like simple mylar , matting and Boards. Quality , archival and not horrifically expensive
  10. the 200 ct boxes will hold 200 modern books, but you have to lay the silver age 90 degrees other direction...and they are 3-5x as thick, so only about 50 safely fit...and the cgc boxes were slabbed
  11. No. A Diamond 200 ct box probably had 50-60 raw and I had 45+ slabs. So did have over a 100, but not sure how 600 was arrived at
  12. whiz 22 and silver surfer 1 are the only 2 books I have personally collected multiple copies of... think I got to 50 whiz 22 and had 2 cgc boxes and diamond 200 ct box of SS 1's at one point (most all I've sold since hurricane 2018) the reason, SS 1 was the first comic by dad bought me in 1972, so I used to buy every copy I saw for nostalgic reasons...and whiz 22 I bought every copy I saw for about 20 years for sentimental reasons
  13. I was really thinking 25K for it...c'est la vie
  14. the one page I was interested in is already higher than I had anticipated bidding...maybe wishful thinking on my part... sigh
  15. Ahhh the good ole days the play by play was at the request of some that for some reason (work maybe?) couldn’t follow the live auction but could hit refresh on their cgc boards page. was a pita but I tried anyway
  16. I only use, rely and trust fedex. With dsr and a good relationship with my regular driver , it’s my only shipping preference
  17. we were so young...rip paul and steve
