  1. Whoa, all very impressive, but Hardtop with the mic is a legendary find. Congrats, sounds like you a have a lot of fun time ahead of you, sorting it all out!
  2. You know, the costumes in the various xxx superhero pron parodies are often remarkably true to their comic book counterparts. I've always wondered why it's so much easier for them to get it right on those budgets than it is for the major studios to do it with hundreds of millions to spend. I guess I'll continue my...research.
  3. I saw Man of Steel. Personally hated it, but different strokes and all. Snyder and Co's conception of the DCU isn't for me.
  4. Oh, to be sure, I've watched Predator several times for every time I've seen the others. It may be my favorite Arnold picture, though Commando (which is totally nuts) can give it a run for its money.
  5. Are you kidding me? The kids today LOVE Hall and Oates. Millenials can't get enough of that polished blue-eyed soul sound of the late 70's to mid-80's.
  6. I have no specific beef with Cavill, in fact, I really enjoyed him in Mission Impossible. I'd be curious to see how he'd fare in a Superman movie that wasn't godawful, but that ship may have already sailed.
  7. I had high hopes for this one once I realized Shane Black was back on board, but word of mouth has been pretty damning. Still going to give it a try this weekend. Not sure why, I guess out of the same misguided love for the first movie which also lead me to sit through Predator 2, AvP, AvP: Requiem and Predators. You'd think at some point I'd learn my lesson. Oh well, off to the cinema!
  8. Well, I should say I don't know of any significance of that word in any way that would trip up board filters/censors (it's not a naughty word, and I don't know of any web services that go by the term that would conflict with CGC.)
  9. Wow, that's truly bizarre. True, I don't get out of the house much, but I'm not aware of any other significance for that word.
  10. Well that's weird. I'm trying to post the word R O V E R but i keep getting that Outside-affiliatelinksnotallowed error? What does that mean?
  11. Why is the Punisher shooting John Oates with a bazooka?
  12. All right folks, it starts here: the pump and dump on Crackajack Jackson has begun! Alert the media!
  13. Screw Wolverine, I'm putting all of my money into Crackajack Jackson!
  14. That's funny, I got mine in a big lot at an estate auction. I bought the box to get the Justice League stuff, and that Spawn car set was thrown in there. I think I sold it a couple of weeks ago. They're not worth much of anything (though I'd think the #9 would likely sell much better than the others, obviously) but they're still pretty cool.
  15. Same. I have an XBox One now, and if I buy a new system, it's got to be 4k ready, as I'll probably give in and get a 4k set later this year. Would love to play this, but am not going to buy a system that is already obsolete just to play one game.
  16. Here's one that I've got. I wonder how many different issues they did?
  17. A couple of years ago, I started collecting signatures on action figures. I wouldn't deface any vintage or valuable figures, naturally, but for recently released stuff I thought it was a fun alternative to 8x10 photos, which I don't have much use for. I've been waiting for Manu Bennett for a while now, as he has canceled on Lexington Comic Con TWICE. In the meantime I've managed to get all of the other Reaction Arrow figures signed. Well, this weekend at Cinci Comic Expo, I finally got my figure signed! Could have maybe done without the Missus whispering "He's HOT!" from the sidelines, but hey, what can you do? They also had three Gi Joe voice actors, so i decided I needed them as well. I don't collect the 25th anniversary figures, but I thought they would make for nice display pieces if signed. All of those folks were super nice and fun to talk to. Bill Ratner (Flint) was especially chatty, and he even does the first two signatures for free! Guess he's not as hard up as a lot of the folks that go to these shows. I went ahead and got them personalized, which I don't normally do, but these characters and their voice actors definitely have some sentimental value for me.
  18. Next, my pickups from Cinci Comic Expo. It was my first time there, and we were primarily going so the Missus could meet Clark Gregg (inexplicably, Agent Coulson is her favorite Marvel character, and there are no close runners up.) The previous week, at Swaptember in Lexington, I'd seen that Comic Book World had brought out a new collection of Police Comics/Plastic Man, Whiz/Captain Marvel and Airboy books. Large collection and lots of cool stuff. I'd not had much spare cash that weekend, so I was determined to pick up a couple of the books in Cinci this weekend, as I was sure CBW would be there again. The #33 has some color touch and other issues (all disclosed, of course) but I loved the cover so much, for the price I had to pick it up. The #43 is a little bit nicer. I just love these horror/hero precode covers!
  19. First up, some LCS pickups. I'm apparently now working on building a collection of beater copies of early Avengers books, though that was never an actual goal of mine. Funny how the hobby works. Lately I've been clearing a bunch of junk out of the storage section of my basement, including boxes of drek remainders from a couple of collections I picked up, and some random toys. I've been dumping them at the LCS, and getting store credit in return, which I've been using to pick up these random books from a collection of silver age Marvels they put out a couple of weeks ago. #5 really is a rag. #8 is a hair nicer.
  20. Nice! It took me FOREVER to track those thing books down back in the day. These days I'll occasionally run across a random issue in a dollar bin, but the complete set is still pretty tough to put together.
