Forgive me if I missed this somewhere in this thread but where do the Retailer Review Copies fall into all this? Most are really cheap on eBay and the others don't seem to sell. Do the plain white covers make them undesirable?

I'm going to have this issue at the Buckeye Comic Con in Columbus, Ohio on March 4th. Anyone who would like to take a look at it there, just PM me. Obviously, I want to minimize the handling of the book but I would like some in-hand opinions.

Thanks for the links to the other threads. Very interesting. Heritage sold one in 2006 they say was a 1st print. No provenance was mentioned. I wonder who authenticated it? I've sent an e-mail to see if they would still consign one and if so, under what conditions. I couldn't find any sales from clink.

Yes, it is from an OO collection. He just recently passed away at 70. There's no way to find out from anyone in the family. The condition is consistent with the rest of the collection. The dates are consistent but I don't know when the counterfeit copies were made. I'd assume much later.

OK, according to the Overstreet this is a first printing but who can really tell? The bald man is not recognizable. The lines on the house on page one of the first story are sharp and distinct. I picked it up in a collection where the other books are all from the mid-60's so it looks right, time-wise. Any help is appreciated! Sorry for the poor scans but it's the best I can do. I sold 3 copies of #1 fourth prints this weekend in the store. I didn't even have to show it. People just picked it up, flipped it and bought it. I keep 5 copies on the rack at all times. Now, if they will just do that 2nd printing on the trade!
