  1. One of my all time favorites and the page that got me hooked on Neal Adams.
  2. Very sad news. I'm glad I took the time to meet him and get some artwork from him in 2018. RIP Neal.
  3. Your rules state "no naughty folks" but how is that possible with this cover? Great book!
  4. Brings back a lot of great memories and it's good to see you actually like to read/look at them as well. You have a very nice collection and thanks for sharing.
  5. I recall one of the restoration folks selling leftover pieces from some expensive books (in a small container) here on the boards. I'm more surprised someone actually paid that much for a piece.
  6. There's so many classiic covers from very different eras for very different reasons it would be near impossible. There's not even a consinsus on when the Modern Age ends. For me Avengers 95 comes to mind. Not because of the cover but the splash page. I had never heard of Neal Adams but was hooked at page one. As for a classic cover for me great story telling is part of it and one that comes to mind is ASM 144 - I loved Ross Andru's art and remember hoping she was really not dead. It was a great time to be reading Spidey and remember impatiently waiting for the next issue. My 2 cents.
  7. My bad but it is classic. As for using it for a variant cover I'll let you do that since you thought of it.
