  1. At the end of the day, the sign is worthless unless you have a seller who wants to sell to a prospective buyer. In the land of internet, you cannot force a seller to part with something to someone he wishes to not transact with. Fairly simple... So you're saying that the probation list is only applicable for non-paying buyers or sellers that don't ship books? I get it. I'm pretty much saying that the PL list effectively means nothing... I wondered who solarcadet was referring to... He's not referring to me. I have bought nothing from him, nor have I sold anything to him. But at the end of the day, if someone (anyone) truly wanted to transact with another, do you believe a list created on an internet site would stop them?? Sorry but your comment sounded exactly like what he was spouting. Even though its true (we all know it happens), it doesn't help the few people here that try to keep the shenanigans to a minimum.

  3. Shrek's unwanted half brother.
  4. The box was an used box from a comic store he had bought from, so he didn't have to pay for it. $4 for bubble wrap? I don't believe him, when I sell stuff I always have boxes and bubble wrap at home that came from other shippings, so I just re-use them without making the buyer pay for box and bubble wrap, and he probably does it too. Also, there wasn't much of it inside the package.. I just make the buyer pay for the shipping price. Also I asked for priority shipping for $39, he agreed, and then sent first class, lying once more on the shipping price. He lied multiple times and behaved like a kid. I think I should receive another $3,30. If I do receive that money I'll be satisfied, because I'll get back the amount he shouldn't have taken from me. However, I won't suggest anybody to deal with him if he does get removed from the PL list. Really? Another $3.30 because you are GUESSING that he didn't have to buy bubble wrap??? Maybe he did, you have no idea. Looks like he made restitution to me. He clearly sent me some used boxes he received before which surely contained bubble wrap. He also buys a lot from the boards, so I think my guessing is right. Also, as I said, the bubble wrap wasn't much. The packages were poor, especially the second and he almost surely lied when he told me about the $4, as he always lied about the shipping costs. However, as I said, I don't feel like I received the total amount I should have been sent back, but I have no decisional power. If you feel to remove him from the PL list do it, if not I won't ask for removal. This is all a mute point now - he was already removed after you posted he gave you a refund.

You received a refund and should move on. Sorry if that's not what you want to hear.
  6. The seller sslim66 has sent me a $30 refund today. As you can read from the quoted post of mine that you can find in page 2508 he made me pay $33,30 USD more for the shipping. I paid for insured priority, he sent non insured first class but made me pay as he shipped with priority. He was added to the PL list for this reason. Today, after receiving the refund, he told me he'd like to be removed from the PL list. I won't ask for him to be removed though, I'll let you decide. He did what he did. He lied lots of times, insulted me and also sent to my email addres a lot of gay sites spam mails as he used my email address to subscribe to some gay sites. How can I know it was him that did it? Well, the mails started arriving after some minutes after he was put in the PL list. Also, the email account of mine is known only to a few people, since I use it only for these boards and a couple more sites and I've almost never shared it with any other person. It wouldn't be a problem to receive those mails if I was the only one using that email address. I'm not homophobic so I could have just laugh a little bit for what he did. The problem is that I share that email address on my main PC at home, with my children using it for playing games. When I get a mail it gets notified on the home screen, so my little children started seeing some naked men on the pc while playing. That's not fun at all. That made me really angry. For this reason I fear that he could do what he did to me again to another person, so I won't ask that he gets removed from the PL. I don't know the rules, but if you think he should be removed, remove him from the PL and I will respect the rules. If you need my word for removing him, don't remove him. Thanks everybody You asked for a refund on shipping and the response from sslim66 was way out of line. He gave you a refund which means he should be taken off the PL. However, that doesn't excuse how he handled the situation.
  7. If you feel this way, then you don't have to wait for poll results to say so, just take it upon yourself to show us that you are sincere in your intention to take responsibility for your failures and punish yourself by leaving. That's the plan once my final sales reach the buyers. Oh. Started another sales thread and already deleted. Wait...he started yet another sales thread after yesterdays debacle??? The week before the poll ends can't go by fast enough. Yes, and it mentioned something about him providing great deals to boardies. He's a generous guy, that one is. He posted a Lazarus lot at 11:00 pm pacific time. When I saw the post it reinforced what I was already thinking - he really doesn't care and has no sincerety in his apologies.
  8. Being stupid sounds a lot like being ugly. Some folks work really hard at it, while others are just born that way. Of course there's always an exception to the rule when someone falls into both categories.
  9. For the people on the back, are you suggesting he be removed from the PL? If there is nothing else you expect from him then the answer is yes. Now I'm tempted to get you a MD 1. Raw 9.8 candidate? I think people expect him to get his "stuff" together but what do I know. Regardless, it sounds like he made good and should be removed. Something he should have taken care of before starting a sales thread but he did have cool books at step on your mama prices.
  10. Obviously, I'm late to the game so I'll stick with the other thread.
  11. So what's currently on the table tree?
  12. Seriously? Because a seller ignores you and you want to nominate him/her? When a seller doesn't get back to me after a week, I would send another request and after that I wouldn't care as I saved myself money I can tell you that the nominator has/will go on the 'list' of many people who do business here. Yuuuup! So let me get this straight... because I called a guy out on his poor business practices (for a sale that just needed a price to be done, for stringing me along over the course of a few weeks, wasting my time, and pretty much making me feel like I wasn't worth a response), then in your minds, I somehow come out as the bad guy? Wow. Humanity continues to surprise me with it's utter foolishness. But if you feel that you need to block me for that, then by all means, do so. I did preface everything with "I'm not sure if this is exactly probation-list material..." Everyone seems to love ignoring that fact, even though I mentioned it at least twice. I checked the prerequisites for nomination, and it doesn't state completed transactions, which is why I wasn't sure. I even did a number of searches for the topic, but nothing relevant turned up. It was either post here, or in "comic general." This seemed like the better fit. I wanted to post what he did here so that there were some minor consequences for his actions. At the very least, it's people knowing how he handled himself. It's no different than a review of sorts. This shouldn't be hard to understand. And that's all I'll say about the subject. You asked in the right place. No worries. With some of the stuff that happens here and with ebay sales your "rude seller" is not even on the radar by comparison. You appear to be a high maintenance buyer which some sellers would rather avoid. (thumbs u I bolded the malarky. (thumbs u
  13. Added six more sweet Liberty Meadows books (affordable GGA) to the Registry Set (all SS 9.8).
  14. Modern slow track Received 4/1 Currently sitting in graded...
  15. Since I sold him the 180 back in December, I figured I should chime in... The book looked really nice in hand and I was really surprised it got hammered. Also, where the color touch came from is at best a guess since he had the book signed. jsilver asked for a partial. What do I say to that? It's been over 4 months, the book has changed hands twice, has been signed and graded.
  16. I actually prefer this than the regularly scheduled program (current banter).
  17. There was a time not to long ago that you couldn't give away a X-Factor 1 9.8, but I am guessing the demand for 5,6 and 24 has changed that with the prices I'm seeing on the bay.
  18. A pleasure to deal with. Thanks Dan.
