  1. Hey Rick quick question. Any idea what a Kid Colt 1 in 4.0 would roughly be worth?
  2. I'm thinking of getting the Bioshock/Bioshock 2 bundle for the PS3 both great games. The first probably one of if not THE greatest game I've ever played. Unreal story. It's like a movie
  3. I'm on chapter 10. I'm really pleased with how the game turned out. Me too, but I love the franchise so much they could do no wrong in my eyes . The game is def different than the last 2. I won't spoil anything but it def gets weird at the end
  4. About to beat DS3 such a great game. Actually kinda sad its over. I've waited since the beginning to see how they would end the series. The greatest thing about the game is as soon as I'm done I will start over again with all my weapons, it's that fun.
  5. I picked it up this morning. I'm anxious to get home and play. I'll post my thoughts later if you want. To be fair though, I think Dead Space was always a shooter with horror elements, not a horror game with shooting elements. As long as 3 retains the atmosphere and difficulty of the first 2 games, I'll be satisfied. Loved the first two games. I saw there was a demo for 3....but did not get around to trying it. I'm on chapter 5. And it's the same as two which in a way was the same as the first. I loved the second one personally. The game is tough the first round through. Guns are weak and its very slow on finding supplies. I'm at a part were ur stuck in a room fighting 2 of those uber morphs ( regenerating ones). Talk about intense. I like it I'm still in the beginning so I need more time to make a better decision, but if you liked the first two you will like this. More of a "go do this Isaac" and "go do that". Like side missions. Def not as linear as the second one. There's lots of different ways you can go
  6. Super pumped for Dead space 3 tomorrow. Cannot wait to get outa work

  18. Pretty decent looking book, but if it were me id try and get a better copy.
  19. Thresholds exist at pretty much every level. We all have our limits, and I'd imagine that there are a number of collectors where 10K would be about the greatest extent that they'd be able to go for a "grail" book like Detective Comics #29. Even if a higher graded copy could be had for 5-10K more, they'd then have to double their threshold which for many, would be financially impossible. Those with 20K to spend on a comic book are probably more willing to hold out and double the 10K figure for a better copy. To those with only 10K to spend, a 1.0 might be their only opportunity to land a book of this caliber before the value pulls even further out of reach. There is only one 1.0 and one 0.5 on the CGC census. I do not know of the 0.5 is fully complete or not, so this 1.0 might be the lowest-graded slabbed complete copy in the entire world. Think about it. How many collectors with a 10K threshold are needed to help elevate this very rare opportunity to high figures? We are not talking AF #15 here, we're talking about one of the most desirable GA comic books of all time with a very very very limited supply in the "low-grade, complete, slabbed" department. I don't see any reason why the value won't continue to climb further and further. (thumbs u +1 I agree 100%. Also Jgallo thats like saying well i wanted to buy a Chevy cobalt and someone saying your being lazy go buy a Lamborgini . Just because 10K might not be much money to you it could be there maximum to spend and have other resposibilities other than comics. Not everyone has "other books to dump to fund new ones" 10K is a lot of money in my eyes so doubling that is crazy. I really dont see this 29 selling for that price as anything "crazy" at all, like i said id have spent that in a heartbeat if i could. Not at all with your car thing the difference is 100K or more. Do you have that fantasy in your avatar, 1.5 easy to replace and worth what 4K these days. That is another book. Look at Wayne-Tec he started off with a panel to a Superman one and now has a complete coverless tec 29 what did he do, he moved up his top out amount. It was 250 at first and now its 2500, that is a huge jump but he did it and not in a large amount of time. I am not saying 10K isn't a lot of cash as it is, I am just saying that if your motivated you could jump up to the next level on a book or two. Yes you might have to lose a whole bunch of other books but I find it easier to buy back the book under 1000 then it is to buy a 10-20K book. Plus the cheaper books tend to show up a lot more often. I see it more as a mental decision then anything else... Just my opinion James G No i get what your saying i wasnt tring to argue. Everybody's money situation is different. Its a 2.5 BTW

  21. My guess is the Tec 29 will break 10K. just ended shy of $10k at $9,600. Fairly strong price for a 29 with that large upper left POFC...any boardies win it? I think the price is nuts based on condition. James G just shows what the market will bear on this tough Pre Robin bat cover...the pages were very nice (thumbs u If i had the money right now id have bought that book for 10K easy. If i hadnt bought mine last year i would have def bought this one I also agree it is justified. After seeing all the other crazy prices this year on early Tecs and other key/high demand GA. That 10K is right. (Can't believe I just said 10K is right for entry level, but its true- these books are getting crazy expensive!!!!!) I almost bid $10.1K, but at the last second held off - the appeal is a complete Tec 29, and the fact that there are so few low grade copies - I end up looking for one of 6 books that I can possibly "afford", and it's not like AF 15 where there are 1500 graded copies - there are only about 40 - so if I want one, I really have to go for it. I think low grades get higher prices (relatively speaking) than mid grades because there are a larger number of us who can't reach the mid grades but want a complete copy in low grade... supply and demand and timing determines FMV Sure but it gets to a point that just doesn't make sense. IMO if you can afford 10K you in theory should be able to pay 20K. That being said I can understand an entry level book at a certain price I just don't know why this got pushed this high. I have a restored 4.0 but I bet I couldn't get any interest in that at all as it's PLOD...... James G big difference between 10k and 20k buyers. Spending 10k doesn't mean one will can can afford 20k. I sold a Tec 29 CGC 1.5 slight for $12k a year and a half ago. There is great power in a pre robin Tec Agree there's a big difference between 10K and 20K just like 5K and 10K for most collectors. I know that seems obvious, but unless its talking into the 100K+ then its a pretty substantial difference. Plus a blue label to a PLOD is not the same game if you ask me.

  23. I think the cover showcases Batman more in 36 than 37. I for one dont like the smiling Batman, The dark batman was the only kind i like (27-37) then i have absolutely no intrest in any other Detective comic. Maybe hes like "Well I am kicking the mess out of a bunch of ninja's" smile?
