  1. Wow, never knew there was a statue thread throughout my time on the boards. It's good to be back I just started collecting statues and man, there are so many statues I'm looking for! If anyone is selling SS Spidey statues, pls drop me a PM!
  2. You guys think the superior Spidey #20 Campell'a price will stay that crazy? Kinda reminds me of ASM #620 dp variant. Does anyone know why that variant suddenly skyrocketed?
  3. Wow anyone knows why Venom (2011) is hot? Saw 2 auctions: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Comics-Venom-1-2-3-4-Set-/150626237944?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item231205fdf8 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Venom-1-20-Remender-Includes-Circle-of-Four-Issues-Marvel-Comics-Great-Series-/170882664919?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item27c96689d7 One of the rare modern titles to go beyond cover price.
  4. Wow nostalgic indeed, One of my first few modern variant favourites.
  5. I wouldn't exactly call the art "beautiful", but it works very well for the series, like Mignola's Hellboy worked for that series. I would hate it if they did Spiderman (or Walking Dead) in Chew-style art. Interesting comment. I kinda think Ramo's style is similar to Rob's style.
  6. Catchy! Who's the guy Spidey's holding supposed to be? You?
  7. Woah can't believe I missed this. How much did it sell for? Very nice!
  8. Nice! If you ever decide to sell it let me know, it'd look great next to my Strange Tales 107. (thumbs u It sure doesn't look like Off-White pages AT ALL! Cool book!
  9. Awesome collection Dom! Or should I say.. Chewy!
  10. Interesting. I was thinking of something else- Advertise the link to that website and have boardies indicate which books they're interested in and you give them a better price via PM or other forms of communication? Or if you're comfortable, you can just give a certain % off the listed price for boardies.
  11. I have the same problem with some of my slabs too. I tried inserting a piece of paper in the side of the case, but the case was too tight for the paper to go through the slab to remove the smudge. I'm afraid of breaking the slab too. Any help?
  12. Ouch. He took a bit of a hit. man that sucks for him. i was quite shocked at the final price. a batman 608 rrp 9.8 blue label is worth more at the moment and i am quite shocked. Woah, I know I'm late, but why's a 9.8 batman 608 worth so much?! I thought the hottest modern out there cost about $500 (Shield partial sketch variant, Siege #3 Campbell variant and Uncanny X-Men #510 partial sketch variant comes to mind) Sorry for being off topic, I'm just so shocked. Talking about TWD, I've only read till the HC vol 4. Maybe I can share how it feels reading TWD from a HC format. It's really quite addictive to be able to spam issue after issue and sure felt like it ended way too fast. Initially, I felt there wasn't enough conversation but I think the conversation picked up quite a bit and it's really quite interesting to see how the story turned out. Can't wait to read more!
  13. Woah you're on a Spidey frenzy Spider Junkie!! I'm so green with envy! cool stuff! (thumbs u
  14. Haha I agree with you, in some way. Personally, I prefer Bryan Hitch's artwork (and the colors are awesome!) compared to the Tron variant. What I meant was that I think Joe Simon's sig on the Tron variant was the most matching of them all. Speaking of which, anyone got any Hitch sketches to share?
  15. Cool books! I like the Cap America Tron variant best! I think Joe Simon used a very complementing color to sign the book!
  16. Woohoo congrats! You sure have loads of foreign love there Liam bud!
  17. I didn't notice it till you mentioned it Then again, I only gave a quick glance. haha
  18. I wouldn't store my comics face down. The probability you damage the book (especially if you're not using boards) when picking the books up is so frightening high.
  19. Can someone enlighten me again on why we're cracking slabs apart from saving on space?
  20. Man, that's a tough question. I really don't know who to vote. On one hand, Superman is the Man of Steel. On the other, from what little I know about Hulk, he can only get stronger when he's madder. Then Thor, apparently, can pick up his hammer that no one can. But that is not brute strength, it's about who's worthy of it right? BUT, if Thor were to lay his hammer on his villain, it's Game Over right?
